bedtimes

My kids go to bed really well and have never had any problems with Blair he just seems to go straight to sleep yah. Sorry not much help.

Blair - nearly 4 - 7:30 - 8:00pm
Ryan and Katelyn - 1 yr - same time as Blair.
They all sleep through till about 8 in the morning which i think is great.

Alan goes down between 7-8pm depending on what he slept during the day. I have alway's thought that 7pm was a good bed time for kids that is what Alan as been doing right through from very young he sleep's till around 7am in the morning. If Jake is not tired and is happy maybe he is ready to stay up that bit later.

My girls both used to be down in bed by 6.30 - 7pm ish but with both of us out of the house and now living quite far from the middle of town, we have peak hour traffic to battle - so most nights are only jsut gettinghome around 5.30/quarter to 6. meaning by the time bath and dinner etc is done they get to bed at 7.30 alot of the time we will give ayja dinner and put her to bed so that we can have our dinner in peace. Paris like to watch futurama with daddy (he has got her hooked on those silly programmes!)then goes to bed. Ayja had been having a few bad nights lately but now seems to have settled.

Mostly they still get to bed about 7.30 - if we are having a really late running night or dinner runs late or whatever then sometimes it's 8,   i mean they are both awake at 6.30/quarter to 7 and we leave the house by 7.40 each morning, so it's a long long day for them... only consolation is that ayja is still on 2 sleeps a day, and paris still has a sleep at daycare. On the days that she is at home with me, she will sleep 3 hours in the afternoon.

Joey at 11 months old goes to bed between 7 - 7.30pm every night then it's mummy and daddy time!! YAY!!! lol

Oh My Gosh Nikki, jake has started with "more" too. And as I sit on the bed and read stories, if I get up, he grabs my jersaey, throws me back onto the pillow and yells "mine"

P.S. Can you even understand what Jake is saying half the time???? I swear Hannah thinks I'm an idiot but I can't for the life of me work out what one of her main words is. It seems to be her default word and says it ALL THE TIME! So far I have imagined it as "shut it" and "yoghurt" but really have no idea.

Jake pretend he can talk and yabbers away. I say "really?" and pretend interested. IN reality - no idea. I think a lot of words he says I have imagined. Although pretty sure he swears.

I want to put Josiah into a bed by around the end of October... he will be just under 18 months (and Xavier should still be at least three weeks away). The problem is, I'm not sure if he'll be big enough... physically, I mean. Josiah is not a big child - at 14 1/2 months old he weighs 9 kg and wears 00 (9-12mth) sized clothing. As far as being old enough goes, that's not a worry... but he's only just big enough now to climb up onto the bed in his room (probably the one he'll be sleeping in) and I'm not sure he'll be able to get in and out of it okay then... what do you think?

The bed is a divan base (one of those ones with drawers) and doesn't have legs... at the moment he sleeps most of the time across the head of the cot with his feet sticking out of the bars and his head against the other side!

I'm mostly worried that he'll keep falling off the bed trying to get onto and off it.

We are looking at getting a bassinet for Xav (so he can be in our room initially, as the boys will be sharing a room)... I just don't want Josiah to feel like he's being kicked out of his cot for Xav to move into it!
