I know theres been tonnes of threads about this but i'm not going to wade thru pages of posts..
Right so I was sitting in the garage sorting boxes, stood up and got a sharp sting like when you have your membranes broken with induction and now i'm certainly damper than i should be. i've left a message for my MW to ring me asap.. What should I expect if they are leaking? I've had no show to write home about - I did have a couple of snotty bits last week but nothing since.
Is it supposed to have a smell or anything? this doesnt. Help! lol. Oh and no cramping or contractions since saturday/sunday morning.

Put a pad on chick so MW can gauge the amount you're leaking. She'll most likely come over and test it to see if it is waters and go from there.
All the best!

Yeah put a pad on and 'time' how long it takes to be full. I know waters have a smell but I can't remember what it smelled like sorry!

Also is the water clearish or is it slightly pinky? When mine went they had a slight pink tinge which the mw said was my 'show'

Its completely clear with no smell at all. she said to wear a pad for 2 hours and see how much it fills. I'm due to see her for a normal appt tomorrow, so if nothing happens majorly today i'll be sweet. Lol, i made the mistake of telling my mum and now she's fussing and crap :P MW said to stay active and keep doing what I was doing this morning but mum wont let me haha

When my hind waters broke I thought I'd pee'd myself. But when I went to the toilet it was definitely not pee cos it wasnt a pee kinda smell. It did smell of semen though but not strong, only very mild.

When it did broke I had a very slow leak and it was clear so I couldnt tell how much I was leaking (but still wore a pad anyways). My contractions started 30 - 40 minutes later. I didnt have my bloody show until about 10 minutes before Jackson was born when I first had the urge to push.

Good luck

Mine were totally clear when they broke, I don't recall getting a "show" at all and mine leaked (significantly) for a week before I delivered C.

Sounds like you're sorted and seeing your MW soon so yay And may not be too long till you meet your wee girl either!

Oh I've had some "extra discharge" lately and thought it was just.. extra discharge haha. It only happens after I've been pee (not when I wipe, after I get up and walk around) and I usually gave a small bit of it when I stand up.. Its been happening for a few days now.
Its never a lot, but if I wipe it'll make the toilet paper wet, and I can see it on my underwear when it happens, but not really that much to need to use a liner- I do, but its never full, as such, but there is some on it... I just have to change it for hygeine sakes...
Its usually clear, not like 'other' discharge I've ever had... Lol. Its definately very watery...
Should I be worried

ETA: I'm only 28 weeks, baby is still kicking like normal (just a little less like I'd been warned as theres often a growth spurt at this time, and running out of room etc)

Buttersmum (Way TMI here lol) its definately not bladder leaks, I've been quite dehydrated lately, so everytime I go its been BRIGHT yellow, and this isn't... Also kinda smells like semen, but we haven't done it in the last few days for it to smell like that, IYKWIM lol... (Yes I'm disgusting I had to smell it as I thought it was wee the first time lol)

Thats a funny thing 2 of you have said now about smelling semen cause earlier in my pregnancy I swear I could smell it all the time and I know for a fact there was none around..........poor DH has been neglected

Then you certainly need to be getting your bum along to the MW. I'd be getting that checked out.

Yep I'm leaking, but my MW wants to see what happens overnight which is fine by me. Of course if anything major starts leaking out I have to ring her straight away. Yay for not having to go out this evening :D

Is she not making you go to hospital? I wasnt allowed to leave the hospital when they discovered my waters were leaking and had to be put on antibiotics. I had no idea i was leaking but for other reasons my midwife wanted me to get checked out at the hospital and thats when they discovered it and from then till he was born (5 days later) I had to stay on the hospital grounds, couldnt even go home to pack a bag. I should add that they did say if I hadnt had him after 5 or 7 days I cant remember, of being on the antibiotics then I could go out during the day. Think it was also cos he was going to be prem that I had to stay (this was at 34 weeks)

I think different practioners have different ideas/levels of comfort re the infection thing. I was under Ob care when mine broke early and although I was admitted to hospital it wasn't just for ABs - I was having contractions - and they let me come home on oral antibiotics. There was no sign of infection at any point either.

So worth asking your MW about it, but I wouldn't stress too much either IYGWIM

my2angels - My waters were leaking and they are happy to leave you at home for 18-24 hours before they start the AB's just to see what happens.

VD can be very watery at this stage HB. I get it a lot and often a reasonable amount (like damp-wet knickers). I didn't know that it can be worse with BH - I get huge BH constantly this pregnancy.
