Topic: YAY!!!!!!! BFP Posted: 17 May 2010 at 10:48am |
HI all. Did 3 tests yesterday that came out BFP!!!! After 2 1/2 yrs of trying for number 2 its finally happened. Still in shock and cant believe it. Just started seeing Fertility spec and were waiting for D21 of cycle to do blood tests. Poor DH already did his sperm count test.
Im sooo happy, excited but also scared as my health has not been great! Been in hospital with all sorts of probs. Im on medications for migraine and a bit scared to take it as have read it can harm baby. I dont want to put this pregnancy at risk and cant see doc till morning. What would u do? I have asked the nurse to call so hope she can help.
Im only 5 weeks so go a bit to go before Im past the dangerous time. Crossing fingers my body accepts this pregnancy.
Symptoms I have are tender breasts, bloating, light headed but not much else so doesnt feel real!! Keep thinking my AF is on her way but with 3 BFP I doubt it, hehe

Hi!!
Congrats!
I suffered migraines in my pregnancy, I've always suffered from them since I was young. You can drink powerade, that thins the blood and can help, you could try panadol although I found that to be rather sh*t, or you can tough it out.
Do you take voltaren tablets for yours? My mw said it was ok for me to continue to take voltaren for them.

thnx all. Im on inderal (deralin) and 600mg aspirin daily. I havent taken anything today so far. Nurse rang and said should be ok but checking with Doc. Says on net that Inderal can cause growth probs so I dont want to take them.
Im off to see a natropath in June. Big waiting list as so popular. Im really hoping my migraines stop with this pregnancy as they did with first pregnancy.
Anyway thnx again all.

Congrats to you!
I would stop taking your pills - I'm on Nadolol 3x daily for migraines, and have had to stop taking them each time as they can cause birth defects. I found my migraines weren't as bad during pg though.
Just a thought - aspirin is often given to women when having trouble TTC, maybe that's why this time was the lucky one?
Anyway, congrats again - I know how long you've been waiting, so good luck for a happy and healthy 9 months!
