Any1 moved not long after havin bub??

We moved when DD was 5months so not extremely young and only to my parents so she already knew the house.

One thing I ensured though is that we had DD all set up before we were when we moved in here. That way if she needed to sleep she had her bed, with her sheets etc.

One thing that I found really hard was trying to do the cleaning! That might have been the age factor but when the house was empty and we were trying to clean she would get so grumpy, so maybe if you can get someone else to do the cleaning or take baby for abit. Also if your going to take baby with you when your cleaning then keep your pram handy, DD wouldn't sleep on the ground but would sleep in her pram when needed.

Packing make sure you pack as much as possible before the day of the move, if you have a room that you can store it in even better. If for a week you have to live in close quarters with all of you in one bedroom so that you can store in the other rooms then do it.

Remember to empty out all cupboards and clean once done, easiest one to do is the bathroom cupboard I found. You don't question much whats in those cupboards and whether you use it.

Can't think of anything else at this point.

Caliandjack- Unfortunately no, our aim is to stay where we are as we are currently living with parents and cheap rent so we can pay off all our debt before bubs is here so we can move, also i have to stay where we are due to high risk pregnancy

We moved to Aussie when Jody was 4.5 months. Cleaning the house was a bit tedious, especially because DH decided to take the cot down first when I was outside. The most helpful thing ever was a couple who came over, she looked after Jody, he cleaned the carpets and I packed.
It's sometimes hard to find someone to help you move, but very easy to find someone willing to hold a tiny baby for a few hours (while you order their hubby around...)

We moved cities when DS was 1 month old, it was a lot of work but actually because he slept so much back then, we managed to get quite a bit done. Won't be doing again in a hurry though!!

We moved across town when DD was 5 weeks old, id had a csection so DP ended up doing all the work, so needless to say   i found it pretty easy :)

We moved when C was 5mo (3mo adjusted, so still sleeping lots etc). We got movers in to pack and do all the hard work, it was brilliant! If you can swing it, I highly recommend it. If not, enlist all the help from friends and rellies that you can so that you can concentrate on the baby and let your DH and others concentrate on the moving. I was home with C the day the movers came and packed but on moving day we went straight round to my best friend's place in the morning and didn't go to the new place till C's room was all set up and DH and the movers had all the big furniture sorted.

The moving company recommended packing up the baby's room last and then setting it up first at the other end. So, if nothing else, at least that is one space that is ready for the baby.

We moved when DS was 3 months old. Moving companies = best thing ever Soooo much easier as they do all the lifting. Label boxes really well. Set up babies room first. And if you get offers to help out... take them
