Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do. I am feeling so completely useless as I can't do anything because of it.

Are you eating enough? I felt pretty dizzy whilst pregnant, apparently it's the extra blood. I always got it after walking too much, standing too much or getting up too fast. I had to make sure I ate enough and took things a bit slower.

I actually got so dizzy I passed out at the museum in Wellington. Much to my dps horror.

It might be low blood pressure.
I got it pretty badly with my first 2 pregnancies.
Make sure you are drinking enough fluids and rest whenever you feel it coming on.
Hehe nkap, I fainted in line at the foodcourt in St Lukes. Was so embarrassing!

I got major head spins for the first few months of pregnancy. Turned out I had quite low iron, so if its not bp or anything else, maybe get that checked. And as nkap9 said, it can pay to just take things a bit slower.

I got that last pregnancy. Just make sure when you stand up etc that you do it slow, don't want a head rush and faint!

Mine was from low BP but there was nothing much to do about it other than drink

Yep I have had it both times at different times in pregnancy. It was mainly low BP last time and iron this time.. It's worst if I'm standing still or walking slowly, like at the supermarket.

CaraMel - that must have been a special moment! I live in fear of the same thing..

Edit: Just remembered that I found out I had a heart murmur during first pregnancy. Nothing serious, and it was gone by the time DD was 3 months. Haven't had it checked this time but could also be a reason for dizziness..

Yea, same for me - low blood pressure caused it. Just got told to drink HEAPS of water. I up'ed my wter intake to almost 3L a day and I was a lot better after that. And made sure I ate regularly as well.

I had low blood pressure when I was pregy.
I also have problems with Hypoglycemia (low blood sugars). I drank water with Glucose in it and it did help a bit but you do have to learn to slow down, eat right and be careful when you stand up and stuff. Also if you get really dizzy go lay down for a bit if you can and let your body build its stores back up.

I had this really really bad in the first three months, if I wasn't vomiting I was so, so dizzy it wasn't funny. Moving my eyes (closed or open) set it off and made me feel like I was floating and swimming, I called it my dizzy eyes! I was holed up on the couch for quite a few days, I hated it more than the morning sickness I think. Luckily it switched off like a tap at the 12 week mark with my morning sickness.

I didn't find anything really helped except getting up slowly and lying down for most of the day made it a little better.
