Dropping a feed

For the last few days Mac has been refusing his moring BF or only taking little bits and if I keep offering it, he just ends up biting me instead...ouch.

My question is (or questions as it so happens), do I keep offering in the hopes he'll eventually pick it back up again? Do I replace it with a solid feed instead? Or do I leave him with just no feed at all?

At what age do babies normally drop a feed? He's not even 6 months old now and he only has about 8 feeds a day as it is. We've only been doing solids for 2-3 weeks and only small amounts in the evenings.

Any other info anyone can offer on this would be appreciated too. He's actually becoming a right little toad to feed. Either too nosey and looking around or he goes all rigid and grizzles at me (which I think is reflux maybe?)

my llittle girl only ever had four feeds a day right from when she was a newborn...   i personally would just leave him a bit and offer it later.

I'm going to still offer him the feed just incase he changes his mind but I won't panic if he refuses.
He's been on solids for 2-3 weeks now, and his Dad suggested that maybe he was ready for a 2nd solid feed a day as he gulps back what he gets at night and looks for more.

Will wait and see though.

I've read a lot about solid feeding but still feel like I'm flying really blind. It's hard to know what and when sometimes.
