Topic: mocha designer white highchair Posted: 03 June 2010 at 7:59pm |
hi all
Does anyone have the Mocka designer highchair?
It's white and all plastic, and looks super easy to clean. Thinking of buying it as the one we have is a pain to clean!
is it good, would you recommend it?
TIA
that's Mocka, the brand name not like the coffee mocha!

I have one and I LOVE it. A lot of my friends have also bought them after seeing ours. It's so easy to clean, doesn't stain and the baby sits up properly, rather than reclining. Also it's easy to pop the legs out and take it on holiday.
I got it because my SIL has an Ikea one (in Oz) and recommended it as you can take it outside and hose it down. They are almost identical, except for the price (Ikea is cheaper). Ours has been in action for over 2 years now and still looks great. DD now sits up at the table with the tray off, she's 2 and a half. I bought the insert for when she was smaller so she was supported.

My mum has one of these at her house for when we visit, it is great, so easy to clean. The cushion insert for when they are little really is needed as the seat part is quite deep so a wee one starting solids would not be very well supported I don't think. I kinda wish we had got one of these for our house, we have the wooden mocka one which I do really like it is just a pain to clean.

Mum and Dad have one of these for when their baby grandkids go visiting. It's really good - we just use a folded up towel to support Jude in it as he is still a bit small for it. Main thing is just that it is super easy to clean. I love the that the slightly smaller tray means it fits in the sink easier to scrub off. Our one is a bit larger and although it does fit in the sink - it is more of a hassle trying to clean it without getting water everywhere. if that makes any sense. Haha. (I mean sideways in the sink - not the whole tray in the sink )
The only thing you need to be careful about is that the tray hooks onto the seat by way of little plastic prongs - these are not covered by the warranty and look as if the could break easily after bit of wear and tear and people were trying to force the tray off and on Replacement trays can be bought though for around $35 I think.

Hmm interesting. DH and I have begun searching for a highchair. Will have to show him this one.
Good to hear its easy to clean, I've been told thats the worst part with most highchairs, especially as we're going with BLW

We have one and love it. Also use a folded up towel as support rather than the expensive support bit you can buy.

We have the Ikea one (almost identical to the mocka one) and LOVE it!! We also did BLW and its simply fantastic as DD sits really well in it and its so easy to clean. I really miss it when we go out for lunch and she has to try and sit in one of those huge big semi-reclining types, she looks so uncomfortable! Oh and its really easy to take away as well, as the legs come off so it packs down pretty small,

We have one too and it's awesome! So so easy to clean and i just chuck a cushion behind him for support. i couldn't imagine having any other highchair. I was lucky enough to grab mine for $30 off TM - although from memory they're not too expensive new either... :)
