I saw the peanut bassinet at BabyCity and noticed that it looks very narrow, especially in the middle part.
This particular model was on a Vibe but we are thinking of getting the Dash.
Is the shape of the peanut the same for the Dash and how long on average do newborns stay in them for? I was hoping to get about 6-8 weeks out of them but am not sure now as it really looked quite small and narrow.

Also how do you find getting it on and off? I noticed the frame of the Vibe in the shop was scratched badly and I had problems trying to refit it once I had taken it off.
Here we go again, another baby on it's way!

Hi
I have the peanut for our vibe. Yes it is a little tricky to get it on, but after a few goes you get the hang of it. It has scratched it a wee bit, but on the dash its not aluminium so might be fine.
I like using the peanut, my boy is 12 weeks and fits in it fine. It was great when he was a newborn, I liked being able to look at him (as in he was facing me and higher up than in pram). And they look cute and snuggly in it.
I also used it a few times as somewhere for him to sleep if at someone elses house for dinner. I tried my friends baby in it at 6mnths and he fitted in it fine too.
But now I'm finding that my boy likes to look around, so don't use it much now. Also it is a bit of a squeeze fitting it in the car with the pram.
Overall I'm glad I have it and would get it again.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback Janini, I really appreciate it.
I was thinking along the same lines in regards to using the peanut for baby to sleep in when we are out and about. It makes more sense to me for baby to lie flat on its back rather than being slumped in a capsule for to long.

And good point about the Dash frame not being aluminium so it probably won't scratch as much.

We had one for our Vibe and it was one of our best purchases. It was really important to me that I could see him when going out for walks in the early days and he seemed happier for it too. He would sleep happy as in it, in fact it was his bed for the first 6 weeks of his life until we got a bassinet (we had a hammock which he hated).

We have a couple of odd scratches on the framework but TBH not nearly as much as I expected, I found it was really easy to get on and off and we didn't even need to take it off to get it in the car.

We could take it with us to put him to sleep when out at peoples houses and he slept in it at a couple of motels too.

Like Janini I ended up stopping using it at about 3 months as he was getting too nosy and wanting to see the world when in the pram, but I think he could probably still fit in it now, at 5 months, and he is an extra tall bubs.

This is him at about 4 weeks:
