Topic: Newly Preggers due end Feb Posted: 08 June 2010 at 6:37pm |
Hi Ladies
i use to be in the Trying thread but have just had Dr confirm am now preggers.
So confusing though he says i am only 3 weeks but 5 weeks from conception. did a pregnancy test back on 18th May which was negative but bloods show positive.
So guess have to wait to have a scan before i know for sure what my dates are.
But wanted to say Hi to any other newly pregnant mums due around Feb

Congratulations How exciting for you, although it is always a very confusing time. I am sure there will be so many questions, which is why these forums are so great.
I'm sure admin will eventually get around to making a Due in Feb 2011 thread and there will be a whole bunch of other pregnant mums to join you.
All the best for a happy healthy 9 or so months.. and beyond!
Congrats again!

I don't think you'd be due end of feb, maybe the end of Jan/start of Feb.
Lily was due 26th Feb but I know she wasn't conceived until the 5th of June.
ETA: Congrats on your pregnancy!! Dates are very confusing too! Dr. and MW went with my LMP, and I know exactly when I got AF, but my scan dates kept saying my AF was the day after it arrived!
Can't believe there are Feb babies already too!

Congratulations thmprs! When did you have the bloods that confirmed pregnancy? They should be be able to tell (somewhat) by hcg levels whether you're in the 4 week range or further along? To give you an indication though, I'm 4weeks 4 days today, and due on the 11th of Feb, and know for sure that this bub was conceived on/around the 21st of May because we went through fertility treatment.
Hehe I'm also impatiently awaiting the creation of our 'due in' thread . Look forward to chatting with you in the future .

Hi Ceres
I had bloods on friday which confirmed it & Dr pretty sure i am 3-4 weeks but i have to go for more bloods today just to see how the HCG levels are to confirm what he thinks. He was thinking it was conceived about 20th May so that would work in right working on your dates to being 4 weeks.
Congrats to you as welll how exciting due 11 Feb.

Might be worth requesting a dating scan given your last AF was a wee while ago... HCG is a very poor indication of how far along you are... Mine at 5 weeks suggested I was 6 weeks and a scan confirmed my dates (I was charting)....
Only if you want to though, its not necessary but if you want a more accurate indicator a scan in a couple of weeks might be the trick
Has anyone actually requested the feb thread? Might be worth someone sending them a little reminder

Congrats! I'm due 7 Feb but my 2 home tests confirmed it and the 2 drs tests came back negative! Blood tests came back positive too on Fri, my due date is apparently 7 Feb tho, although I guess that may change after first scan or whatever they might be able to narrow it down perhaps, who knows, I'm all new to this!

Congrats!!! They usually date it (initially anyway) from the date of the first day of your last period.. so by the time you get to the first day of your missed period you are already approx 4 weeks "pregnant"
There are pregnancy calculators on the net which I used...
I also found out via blood test second day of "missed" period and was 4 weeks already! Home test was faintly positive.
You will LOVE these forums.. they have helped me so much.. all the symptoms, fears, joys you can share and learn about :o)
It's a ride for sure!!
