Topic: How soon did you feel signs? Posted: 17 June 2010 at 3:31pm |
Just wondering...with all the ladies trying to get pregnant and most of you actually succeeding in it...How quick did you notice signs that you were pregnant?

I was certain by day 7 after conception, even though I was still getting negative tests, hadn't been trying and AF wasn't due for 2 weeks. Didn't get my positive test until 14 days after.
Morning sickness is good for some things, apparently

I think I got UTD on the Monday and was tired ++ by the next Saturday, dry retching on the Sunday, fatigue was shocking all week, very very faint BFP on next Sunday (13 days post conception), strong BFP two days later.

Freakily I felt pregnant at about 3 weeks, suppose about the time af was late and sort of in the back of my mind it kept ticking over.
At 6 weeks I was really nauseous, but had a headache and because I suffer migraines I put it down to that!
Found out at 9 weeks when I realised I couldn't remember when I had af last and that my 'tummy bug'/'migraine' was lasting an awful long time

Nothing till 6 weeks, and only nausea and some tiredness. Still in 6 weeks but am hoping will get nothing else, the nausea is not fun! Weirdly I did feel happier with some symptoms tho - made it feel like it was really happening! GL!

I'm sorry girls...half the time I don't know the meaning of the abbreviations used
So, please humour me and could you tell me what these mean:
DPO = it Days Past Ovulating?
BFP
UTD (actually know what's meant but for the life of me can't think what the U,T and the D stand for )
AF(actually know what's meant but for the life of me can't think what the A and the F stand for )
CM
The reason I'm asking is that with my first I found out kind of like nkap9 mentioned so I did not pay attention to the signs at all
So now...I'm just wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me or if I AM really feeling it.
Still 2 weeks to go till testing will show
No use in testing before my next period is due, right?
Anyway...just wondering if there are ladies that think they felt it early early...

My main symptom was mega sore boobs and missing AF of course.
Considering I havn't had any MS they've been pretty much my only symptoms and I'm now 19 weeks.

I knew really early with both of my pregnancies.
DD i had sore boobs & just felt funny. Id never been pregnant before so i wasnt certain i was, i tested the day af was due & got a positive
2nd pregnancy i had a m/c but i knew 2 days after we had sex. I was moody, had heartburn. By 7 days i was nauseous but i never had a positive test until 6 weeks because my HCG levels were so low, and that was a blood test

I went to the doctor a week before my period was due as I was really tired and had the "blues" she almost sent me to a counsellor for depression! The next day I started feeling REALLY nauseous and had little crampy /stabbing feeling in pelvis- like something was going on- but not menstrual cramps.
I did a test the day i was due for my period ... the discover test that shows up slight raises in HCG... and it was FAINTLY positive..
had bloods done and yup i was pregnant! So for me I "felt " signs before my period was due! I dont think this is common though... best of luck!!!

First time 5 weeks - decided to do a pregnancy test cause I had a huge headache and wanted to check i could take something that would have possibly contra-indicated pregnancy - we had been trying
this time - about 5 days after ovulation - just felt different - pregnancy test was very faint but I still just knew

I knew very quickly after conception. I had horrible cramps, lots of CM, was feeling slightly ill (never had full blown MS though) and just to make it really obvious my nipples doubled in size by the time AF was due at 4 weeks. They were also kinda purple and tender a lot of the time. Ohh and I was also (TMI) doing a lot of number 2s
I don't know how early I would have got a BFP though because I was in denial, so waited to test until AF was a couple of days late.
ETA: I also remember one time at maybe 3 weeks DP ran into the back of my foot with a trolley, so I turned around and screamed at him to f&@#! off! I remember my next though very clearly. "Oh crap, I really am pregnant. How do I tell him?!"
