Topic: My pumpkin patch experience Posted: 10 August 2006 at 1:08pm |
Ok so yesterday I went into Pumpkin Patch in Palmy to get some maternity jeans as i'm on the larger size with my tummy and i've now only got 2 pairs of pants left that actually fit me. But they didn't have the size I wanted. The M fitted but just didn't feel right and I had tried the L on before and were a bit big but they were fine. So the really nice lady told me to ring the 0800Pumpkin number and see if another store had some. She worked out that the Epsom store had some in the L size and put me through. The woman there found them and I paid for them with the credit card and she told me that she was couriering them to me and I would receive them by Monday. So I asked mer if she knew where Palmerston North was, and she said no. So I told her its not a far south as Invercargill and not quite as north as Hamilton. So she replied so its at the top of the South Island. I had to control myself so I didn't laugh and just told her I would probably receive them tomorrow (being today) and I have yay and wearing them now.

Aaah Palmy. As a true Aucklander, I'd disavow all knowledge of where Palmerston North is and I used to work and live there!!! Anywhere that charges an airport departure tax to try and keep you there...blegh.
Seriously though, an Epsom shop? - She probably didn't know where West Auckland was either...Henderson...on the outskirts of Timaru

Could have been disastrous following your instructions Becs... there is a Palmerston just north of Dunedin as well. Apparently they always get mail mixed up

Yeah I always tell people on the phone that you have to put North after Palmerston as there is just Palmerston in the south island. But she knows where a really small town is, but doesn't know where a medium size town is. Go figure.

Yay Becks, sounds like they were really good. What I dont get about PP is their "sale". Things have only got a couple of dollars off their full price - def not bargains. Need to go to some outlet stores I think...

I got $20 off these jeans, which for PP it is good. I did see some tops in there were down from $50 well $49 to $19 so that is a good score.

I went to the outlet store in Otaki a few weeks ago Aimee - it wasn't really worth it as the prices were the same if not more than in the sales I was quite surprised.
