Radian XTSL info

Just a bit of information if you're interested in buying this seat and got worried by the little disclaimer at the bottom of the web page SunshineKids It says "Applies to vehicles manufactured after September 2005. Vehicles manufactured before September 2005 up to 18 kg only ".

I asked about this because I was worried that somehow this meant the seat wasn't rated to 36kg as advertised. But here's the explanation. The disclaimer only refers to the special car seat attachment system only, not the actual chair. And you can use the seatbelt to attach anyway. "The disclaimer applies to the superlatch system. In the past and with all other carseats that use latch/isofix it needs to be used with the seatbelt once the child is 18kg but with the Radian the superlatch is tested to higher weights but this only applies to cars manufactured after Sep 2005 where the isofix points were tested to a higher limit also. If you are using isofix points on a car manufactured before Sep 2005 then when your child gets to 18kg you use the seatbelt installation method. I hope this makes sense. If you weren't planning on using isofix/latch at all and use the seatbelt for installation then this doesn't apply at all."
