Two things. One is an extension snap button thing for using on body suits- where would I find them? Preferably on the internet as I dont go into town much.
And the other is we got given a cot and need to replace the metal bits that hold the side up and let it go down. Anyone have any ideas on where i could find this?
I think im allowed to ask about this, please dont put links up to sites as you will get in trouble, but if you tell me the name im sure i can find them. Thanks |

I don't know where you'd get the parts for the cot. I'd try and ring the manufacturer.

What metal bits do you mean? Any of the cross bolts or metal dowels you can get at a Mitre10 or hardware store, even better if you have one of them to bring in, they will match it for you |

I second the hardware shop. My lovely daughter took apart bolts from the cot & now I have to find ones to replace them too! I figure the hard ware shop is going to be cheaper than a baby shop.

Re the extenders....for those who use them, what size is the best? I can't even imagine how long extender I need, I am finding that DS grows out of his bodysuits lengthwise but the next size up is not huge width wise if that makes sense? Or is it more a case of now he is in size 0s, I start with small and then move up to medium etc as he gets longer??
Orrrrrr, is it sensible to have a couple of sizes so that there is one for day and one for night? And do you need spares?

 Hmm lots of questions!

Tali I have 3. Two normal size ones for during the day and one thats twice as long for fat nighttime/naptime nappies.
I'm sure if they have a ''size'' but Í used these ones on DD from about 4 months and use them on DS now.

The cot is a random brand, and rather old. Its the metal bits that hold up the side, its one of the ones that you squeeze and the side comes down, they are all bent out of shape and wont bend back properly.
Thanks for the tips on the extenders, my DD is only 2 1/2 months but is fitting 6-9month clothes! Even they are not long enough! stupid manufacturers

The cot I have an answer, my granddad fixed ours, her made these metal things that look kinda like picture hooks that fit round it like a c if that makes sense otherwise the side would fall off!
Failing that, go to the tip and see if they have a 'junk shop' or similar and you might be able to buy another cot or part cheaply and then jsut pull off the part you need if that makes sense?

I got my bodysuit extenders from a lady on Trademe. Just search for snap flaps (I think that's what they are called). They were only $10 and I got a pack of 3 in different sizes. They are great |

If they are what I think they are, PAMCO would have them. I had to replace them on our cot as well. If you look on their website you can see if they are the correct sort.
