Topic: Music......that wont drive me nuts Posted: 12 August 2010 at 12:48pm |
I'm wanting to get a CD for DD to listen to in the car that won't drive me nuts. (Is there such a thing)
We've got a few Rockabye Baby ones but I'm wanting a fun happy CD not something for bedtime.
Any suggestions?

Bizzy, we usually do just listen to adult music but I've noticed she is really liking 'kids' music at the moment and sings along and does hand movement. My music must not be to her liking as she doesn't seem interested in it at all
Mrs_R - Babydub sounds great.....I've just ordered it. I'm not sure if its for her or for me though

kellie - I usually listen to rock / alternative rock as well. She doesn't get into it though I'm sure with time it will grow on her!

I love babydub it's such a fab idea! Mostly though I just listen to what I like (Obviously nothing with bad language lol not that I'm into that anyway) like a lot of NZ music and the girls love bopping along to it :)

Fatcat and Fishface are very very funny. They may well drive you crazy though......... We were given their CD "The bestest and horriblest songs for children". It cracks me up. One of the first songs is about a fly looking for a place to lay her maggots (Flyby). Hehehehe. There's another song about favourite underwear, a child locking her mother out of the house because the mother has been naughty and one about sailors who die (The Wreck of Diddly).
Check out some of their songs here if you want
ETA - I haven't actually seen their videos so don't know if they are any good, I just like the songs.

I second BabyDub! Although in our car, the rules are Mum's music only. Only chance I get to listen to my tunes and DS enjoys whatever is playing and rocks out.

Callum loves Lady Gaga and Mika at the moment but he also loves kids music as he's starting to get into action songs and things a lot more. He likes the Wiggles BUT they do get stuck in your head! I didn't mind the Love to Sing CDs when I heard them in NZ though.

DD loves Beyonce, Alicia Keys, pretty much anything DP or I put on. She bops away and does the egyptian neck thing from side to side which cracks us up. Starts waving her hands like shes at a concert claps away too funny!

hehe some great taste in music the kids have!!
Our monkeys love the wiggles, but they LOVE Justin Bieber more - blame their older brother. They like a lot of R & B, like Usher, J Williams and Nesian Mystic. So we have that on their cds for in the car. They get excited and try to sing and jigg around in their car seats.
