I'm going to Australia in a couple of weeks and I'm wanting to get my hands on a manduca for to trail out while I'm over there.
Where can I hire one from? How much is hirage usually?
I have a moby style wrap which I love and will take with me incase I don't like the manduca but would really like to try one out now that my boy is getting bigger. Is there another brand you'd recommend over the manduca?
Thanks

I have a manduca (don't know where you could trial one from apart from slingbabies). I love it so far Esme is 9 months and 8.9kg and I can carry her for ages. I would imagine that she'll be just as easy to carry as she grows too. I also have a moby wrap and I much prefer the manduca especially for back carry. I haven't used the moby since I got the manduca a couple of months ago.

I brought mine from junglemuma.

Babybotts in Silverdale? And there's somewhere else - I think Aquabub. They tend to hire for only a week at a time. Belly beyond hire Ergos and I think that's for 2 weeks.

ETA - for a 2 year old, I'd probably go with a Manduca or there's a toddler Patapum as well. Don't know much about the Patapum (check out TNN - there's probably more info there and I think there's one for sale).

I have a Toddler Patapum and its great.

Ds is about 11kg @ 7 mnths and I can and do cay him comfortably for arund 2-3hours ata ti 2-3times a day.
DH is a bigger fella and it adjusts to fit him as well.
Also a cheaper alternative @ $140

Thanks for all the replies. I will look into your suggestions. I love my moby but I am imagining that the Manduca might be just that little bit cooler to wear and when we are doing our longer hikes this is an advantage.
