I started off my pregnancy with constipation, which eased in the 2nd trimester. Now in the last week as I've gone into the 3rd trimester, my movements have become a lot looser and frequent and to be blunt, extremely smelly. I am really really windy all the time and the smell is quite revolting.

Has anybody else experienced this and if so did dietary changes or supplements help at all?

Are you taking iron? Sometimes Iron supps can have that effect...

I have had loose motions all the way through this pg and they dont smell very nice either, I put it down to my body telling me off for the food I am eating... your digestive system can be very sensitve during pregnancy and foods you have always eaten can all of sudden be too rich...

I too suffer from this frankie and it is soo embarrassing. The gas and smell is due to the bacteria in your gut digesting some of the food and they produce gas as a result, which gives the smell also. you could try taking some probiotics, they may help. Otherwise if you have recently massively upped your fibre intake you could try cutting it back.

I am more frequent now, but i put that down to actually eating normally for once in my life, and proper healthy foods too! I do get quite gassy though and its uncomfortable!
