So I lack any form of imagination but am starting to go slightly crazy due to cabin fever lol. I've lived in CHCH since I was 4 so you'd think I'd know of things to do to keep me and DD entertained but I can't for the life of me think of anything to ever do, except go for a walk round the block or to the mall. So can anyone give me any suggestions that don't involve spending much money, if any?? I don't really venture far from home very often so don't really know of any cool places.
Thanks in advance!

The Port Hills is one of my fave places. Go to the lookout behind Sign of the Takahe, it's a nice little walk and great view, go up to Victoria Park, there is an awesome playground there and my fave dogpark in ChCh! If you're more adventurous follow the walkway from Vic park up to the SIgn of the Kiwi - we go up there quite often on the weekends.

New Brighton Pier and library.

The Groynes - has a couple of different playgrounds, an awesome dogpark again and lots of ducks - great time of year for ducklings!

And of course Hagley Park - heaps to do there and the daffodils should be almost out.

Sumner - the Scarborough walkway and through Cave Rock.

That's just a few off the top of my head

Lots of good ideas there, thanks Had forgotten about the Groynes, and it's not too far from our place. Might go there today for a look.
That dog park up on Vic Park is a goodie, but unfortunately I can't trust my dog with other dogs anymore. I used to take him up there when he was a pup and he loved it but then I got slack over winter and he didn't socialise with any dogs for months as I was just walking him round the neighbourhood and now he hates other dogs

Oh no, that makes it hard! My lab is a bit funny with little dogs so we always have to watch her in dog parks.

Thanks so much for the suggestions ladies!
Little_Red...... I decided to go to the Groynes this arvo........ has been years since I last went (I was probably in my early teens last time!) and we had so much fun! We fed the ducks which Isla loved. She was laughing so much at the swan 'hissing' at all the ducks cause it wanted all the bread lol. And we had a play on the playground. Was her first time in a swing Got lots of cool piccies to show her Daddy when gets home from work. And had a quick look at the dog park too...... OMG it's awesome! I remember it being this tiny wee thing with a picnic bench and that's about it! Might be able to take my dog for a run around one day since their are so many areas. Is a nice day today but there was barely anyone there. Yay! It's my new favourite place, so thanks
