Ok.
So I wanted to wait till Olivia was at least 4 months old before starting her on solids because her dad had childhood allergies and even then my Plunket Nurse says that I should go slow because of her hear murmur! So now I need some non food ways to help with teething. She is a little young for bonjela, or so it says on the pack, and I am very reluctant to use pamol now thanks to what I will only refer to as the "pamol incident". I've been trying frozen dummies (she never sucks on them now anyways so they may as well be useful for something) arnica for inflammation and colder formulas so her mouth wont get to warm and sore. I would love to hear of anymore ideas!

you can get homeopathic teething remedies and once my husband got some teething drops when i sent him to get somehing (i was expecting bonjela). or a frozen piece of fruit wrapped in muslin, like apple. anything they chew on is good tho . but you might not have problems, my boy just got teeth with no worries at all, one day there was gum the next a tooth. and i had no idea it was coming.

Yeah I have the arnica for inflammation but I wont have her on anything else food wise other than formula till I'm sure her digestive system is ready for it.
I might just do another cruise down to the heath shop in town!

you can get a powder from the chemist, its called Welda teething powder I think, something like that anyway. we used it for kobe and it was great, they also do a range of things like wind relievers etc...

yes i was curious about that pamol incident as well. with mikey, when he was teething he just loved to chew on his cold teething ring, i used to wrap part of it in muslin so it didn't freeze his wee fingers.

bad chemist!!

I used weleda teething powder (same as my2angels said) with my oldest boy and it seemed to work, not sure if they still make it or not?  Its a powder that you mix with water to a paste.  Good luck in finding something that helps, I have all this to look forward to lol!

Does the Welda Powder have an age on it??
I cried my eyes out when I found it was the wrong strength, I had already given her most of the bottle (over a couple of months). I'll have to wait for the scan appointment with the cardiologist to see if there is any damage to anything, but another Doctor assured me that she was pretty healthy and I had nothing to worry about as she is in the middle of the 50% weight range. Still can't help it though!

that's awful! did you go and tell the chemist what they'd done?? that's a pretty big lapse in concentration to do something like that. hope olivia's all fine, if the doctor says she will be then she probably will.
lol, you had me running straight to my bottle of pamol to see what strength it is.

It was one of those things where "If they knew it was for a child". It's half the Dr's fault for prescribing that dosage anyways, I would make a racist insult but that would only lower my intellect! My echocardigram with the Pediatrician is on the 19th of September, I got the letter today, looking forward to those results.
