Are all cot sheets a standard size i.e. will they fit an american size mattress or do I need to look carefully at them?

I have an australian size cot mattress (im sure its bigger than kiwi ones because every pic ive seen of a friends cot with bubs in it, it looks tiny lol) but not sure if australian are the same size as american or not? but normal standard fitted cot sheets are fine, but his top sheets arent wide enough to tuck in properly. (can get a little under and its fine until they get into bed lol)

but he is normally in a sleeping bag, or i just make sure the feet end is tucked in deeply and just drape the sheet over him with his blankets lol.

I had a standard NZ cot & then an American size cot, I used the same sheets. I had the fitted bottom ones & stopped using top sheets.

A single bed sheet folded in half will fit a cot.
I got my cot from the baby factory and sheets from there too and they fit fine, cot is an american sized cot

Well, I got sheets from spotlight, the bottom one is a fitted sheet and my cot is a touchwood...the sheets are too small! And I got like 4 sets of them haha!
Needless to say the next lot of sheets I got, I checked the sizing......

Yip it definately pays to check the sizing before buying sheets as they do appear to be different sizes between brands.

We also have a ridiculously large cot mattress and I just use the top cot sheet sideways and then it doesn't tuck in at the bottom. It works ok at the moment as we use a sleeping bag and she is still short.
