Topic: Kiddy Shoes Posted: 21 October 2010 at 5:43pm |
Hey
So DS has nearly grown out of his New Balance sneakers that he has been wearing since he turned 1. I cant find any like the ones that he has, which are a sports shoe crossed with a loafer perhaps? So I have been looking at bobux and hoof, does anyone have any recommendations for good quality sneakers? I bought him some from Pumpkin Patch in their "2 for $30" sale, the soles wore through after 10 days!! We don't have much in the way of shoe shops up here, so I will most likely have to buy online, so any opinions would be really appreciated Thanks!
ETA sorry I should have put this in product review!!

I was going to recommend I-walks or hoof but if you have seen them I am not sure who else to recommend. Is your boy a good walker?
How about these from two feet tall? 2feet tall
Sophie had a pair of their sandals last year and they were very good.
Good luck - shoe shopping can be a challenge

Those 2 feet tall ones look really good too..........

I have a pair of I-walks for DD just some sandals and so far so good. She's only worn them for a few weeks though
If you can get his feet measured and have a friend in Auck then maybe they can go to the outlet store to buy some i-walks for you? I bought two for $50.

i love i-walks, they seem to last well, are nice and soft and bendy so really good for climbing etc (nothing worse than seeing a child try and climb in gumboots)
Hoof also look good but I havent seen them in action

Ive just brought Hoofs for my daughter (waiting to arrive) brought the ones for smaller toddlers though which have a really flexible sole. The more skate shoes ones are sturdy with hard soles (which my neice and nephew both had) and I fully recommend them. Even their seconds are really great and nothing really wrong except maybe the stitching isnt quite straight!

Hi Rach - sorry I ment to get back to you last night but forgot sorry
We have had hoof, i-walks and 2feet tall. For a young child and new-ish walker I would say i-walks. We had them for Sophie and they were great.
I haven't seen the hoof or 2feet tall little kids shoes, the ones we have had have been at 2+ so I can't advise on that .
With the i-walks though, i don't know any one who has bought them and not liked them. HTH

Hi, I don't know about Bobux sneakers, but DD has a pair of Bobux I-walks, and they are fantastic!
She wears them every day (because she refuses to wear other shoes ), and they keep very well (DD is a very outdoorsy child, always in the mud/on the beach/climbing). I also like that they are slightly smaller than a lot of the other brands I've come across. I've been surprised by how wide most children's shoes are.
Definately recommend them!

Hehe we just got those ones with the red on them, Cooper loves them. We got them full priced from the factory shop as all the other i-walks in his size were sold out
But they are worth the money. They last & the soles don't detach from the leather if they trip up as well.
