Hey Kazza, welcome and hopefully your mind will be at ease after you get your HCG results back!
Nightingale i just checked out your blog! So happy for you to finally have your miracle. Exciting about the first scan too! Going to see my midwife next week so will hopefully talk about that then
Hmm maybe i will complain about my doctor charging.. though will it matter that she kept saying to me that she wasnt subsidized? She is my stand in doctor for my normal one who is away otherwise i would have switched doctors by now!
Weird question but is anyone feeling bloated/stretched? My tummy is sticking out a little.. i usually have a pretty flat tummy so i am hoping i havent just put on weight all of a sudden for no reason

Panda, bloating is completey normal..in your first trimester you'll feel you're tummy sticking out and you'll wonder if it's the baby...but it's not...just bloating (too early for first timers to be baby bump)...I remember my first time round...felt seriously bloated all the time...was yucky!
Ah MrsMJD, sounds like the dreaded MS has found you...I remember thinking "yay, now I feel pregnant" but those thoughts were vfery short-lived and soon followed by "oh my gosh, I feel like death", lol

Yep, lots of little pulling, stitch-type pangs happening here. Couple of painful stabs, but mostly just feeling rather "full". Sometimes. hCG's aren't going to happen here in case something goes wrong, I used to work at the lab and know how crazy they can be. Would rather save myself the stress . Will probably have a 12 week scan for peace of mind before telling people.
DD just learned the word "baby" today, we were reading her baby photo album.

Panda: Thanks Yep, bloated here too! I already look preggers! Aaaggghhh! I had some mild issues after IVF though with extra fluid which is contributing. I get mild cramps and that full feeling too and a few sharp pangs down in the belly area. So nervewracking! I have another check for HCG today (hopefully my last) and fingers crossed the results are good!

Ariel you lurker! So great to hear your scan went well! Can believe you are 20 wks already!! I hope mine goes that fast, feels like ages at the moment lol. In saying that I'm keen for baby to stay right where he or she is until FULLY cooked |
It's awesome seing you in here too MrsMJD
*jumps up and down - this time on the inside*
Admittedly, the first twelve weeks were pretty slow, but after that it's amazing how fast it goes and with Christmas and New Year coming up fast it's going to be March before I know it! eek!

Hi BR so you are "officially" one of us!!
Panda maternity care is free in this country (unless specialist care) regardless of funding etc You should not have had to pay!
Bloating check, crampy feeling (esp in the evening) check. So glad I'm "normal" lol.
Smiles so long as it stays as it is (kinda of rolly seasick feeling) I'm ok. LOL.
Told the boss today (He's a Dr so was gunna figure it out lol), DH said I could cause he was worried that trying to keep the secret at work would stress me out and make me sick! I work as part of a very small close knit team so mornings like yesterday are hard to hide!! I do have to admit it's nice that they know takes some of the pressure off.
My sisters friend is having baby number 3 today (via c section), it's a surprise baby, they decided to wait and see as they already have one or each. She is hoping for a boy lol.

yay Babyrixon for the scan and due date (atleast you have a more accurate date now!)
MrsMJD we have a small group at work here too so the ladies know (not my bosses though!) it was a little hard to keep secret cos my nurse/doctor would ring and i would have to say words like midwife/anti natal so they cottoned on straight away (and one of them said my boobs are bigger!)
Oh and i also have that same sea sick type nausea, its good comparing with you guys. I agree the nausea is awful but i would rather have it than throw up!
Good luck for your sisters friend today!
Hope your results come back good today Nightingale

Hi Girls!!
I had my 2nd HCG blood test today, and levels had doubled, so YAY!!! Great relief to know everything is ok!
I feel a bit bloated too. Last night my tummy felt really heavy, and I just couldn't get comfortable to sleep - although the heat didn't help. I'm expecting to show pretty early, as I did the second time round, and things are even more stretched now!
Not much else happening here. Only 1 friend knows I'm pregnant, so it doesn't really feel real yet as I can't talk about it with anyone else. I have started having a wee look at baby products already - I'm such a shopper!! I wont buy anything for a long time, but its fun to look!!
If anyone needs any advice (IMO only lol) on any baby products, I'm happy to help. Have been there done that twice, and spent many many hours searching out all the best baby buys!! I'm happy to help if I can!! :)

Hi girls,
So exciting that a lot of you have had repeat HCG tests with levels where they should be :)
I think I'll go in for my repeat on Monday and also have my first consultation with OB.
I don't want to put a downer on things - I'm so glad I'm pregnant but I'm so scared of losing it again. What happened the first time was so devastating and whilst I've moved past it, it feels like it's come up again in my mind now that I'm pregnant again. I just want this first trimester to be over so i can calm myself a bit. I have a 75% chance that everything will be ok...so I guess I just have to be positive and hope everything works out...not like I can do anything to change what's going to happen anyway :-/

Hugs Smiles, i don't blame you for being worried! It is definitely something i think about too. Hopefully the next few weeks will go fast and before we know it we will be well into the second trimester! At christmas time always goes fast for me
Congrats on DH's new job MrsMJD!
Yay for the great results Nightengale and Nicolaann
Oh one of the most annoying things i have noticed since finding out i am pregnant is just how rude smokers are! I am trying to avoid them whenever i can and hold my breath when i walk past them but some stand at traffic lights smoking, and one came into the bus shelter the other day and smoked and there were a few people there including a 2 year old
Better get back to studying! Economics is sooo boring, i better pass my exam on Wednesday..

Hi all
Am hoping to join your thread. Great to see the list is reasonably long already.
I just got my BFP yesterday and of course had to poas at 5:30am this morning just to make sure it wasn't a dream! Early days, I know, but it's been a long time coming so I'll take every minute I can of it.
ok so a little about me... i'm 32, DH 41 (he has 1 son, 11yrs, to his ex-wife) we have been trying since jan 09, so nearly 2 years. i have been going through a FS and have had a few bits and bobs done this year, hsg xray, scans, 3 cycles clomid and just last month lap surgery.
it seems the lap surgery has done the trick!
anyhow... i'm off for a BT on Mon so really hope all comes back a ok and i am lucky enough to hang out here with you all and see all your beautiful bubbas born.

Thought i would update the list, the coloured font thing looks tricky.. so might play around with it some time later to pretty it up.
Hey MamaC! Congratulations, i didnt have a cold but i do think that your health is quite vulnerable when your pregnant as your body is busy doing so much work so i wouldn't worry
Hey Mollymoo, congrats to you too! sounds like you have been TTC for a long time so you definitely deserve this! Dont worry i POAS 10 times (plus once at the doctors) before i stopped! Lucky i had internet cheapies..
Oh and are you both expecting number 1? There are a few in here that are!

Congrats, MamaC and MollyMoo!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy 8 months ahead.
I finally started feeling queasy last night, seems to happen if I haven't eaten for a while. It's hard being nauseous and knowing eating is the only thing that will fix it, and REALLY not wanting to eat!!! Also slightly reassuring that things are progressing as they should.
