Hey RTT, I've updated the list for you. Good to hear you're feeling good so far, I am as well apart from the odd twinge and I think I have a UTI so I will talk to my MW about that on Thurs.
Peaches, that must have given you a scare! I have read that some spotting can be quite common in early preg, I'm sure you're all good

I have had spotting with both my pregnancies. It's either implantation bleeding or break-through bleeding.

Hugs Peaches
I would have panicked too - we all would have!!!! Bet your glad you've got your midwife sorted so early!!!!
I'm going to use an OBGYN that's been referred to me by a friend.... With the operation I had last year, apparently it can cause premature labour as the cervix has been thinned.... so thought I'd better go to a specialist the whole way through...

I was worried about it first time around cause of course I had never seen it before. So can imagine it would be a scary thing to see for you.
Hope it settles down and you can put your mind at ease.
Anyway I had better go finish my housework while the little man is asleep.

Awww man, thought I'd found a good MW and I was really excited about her. Just gave her a call and got an answer phone and out flows this half-hour long (ok exaggeration), really ponsy sounding message that goes along the lines of:
"Sorry I can't take you call, my phone might be out of service, or maybe its X, or it could be X. If you are calling within normal business hours please call my home line on ********, I repeat that ********. If you call is of an urgent midwifery nature please call my pager on ********, I repeat that *******..." I hung up once I got that far.
And she's a Pom *slaps forehead* (haha, my Dad is a Pom)
So I rang her home line and I got ANOTHER ponsy sounding answer phone message.
*shakes head* Nope, don't think her seemingly quiet, "proper" nature will mesh very well with my out spoken, brash self.
Better start hunting for another one.

Haha classic RTT!
I know what you mean, I'm hoping I get on with my midwife, it's pretty blardy important when she's going to be looking up my whats-it!
Good luck with your MW hunting.
Any other August mums-to-be out there??

LOL!!!!!
No ponsy person will be looking at my vajayjay that's for sure!!!!
The obgyn I've been referred to is down to earth and very funny apparently - sounds right up my alley!!!!
I hope to get an appt with him next week - need referral from my Dr, which I'll get on Thursday...
Until then I'm constantly undie checking and POAS!!!! Please tell me it's not just me....
Went out and bought a pack of FR and a clearblue today - to go with the 20 ICs at home.... hubby thinks I'm insane, but this just doesn't feel real, so will have to keep testing.... and I just don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing that second line
Anyone had any preggo symptoms yet? I know they don't really come in for a couple more weeks... but am over thinking them... same as TWW symptom spotting.
I've got none, apart from bought some strawberries for lunch... really felt like them... they looked amazing.... and I love them... usually.... now they make me fee blugh!!!!! Got me a couple of packets of gingernuts to keep in my drawer at work for emergencies

Hey KM, I'm a serial undie checker too, it's hard not to be isn't it?? I have only done two tests though, I've got one left that I think I will do on Thurs morning before I see the MW just to make doubly sure. It would be pretty crap turning up and her going "you're not pregnant, you're a crazy person!"
As for symptoms I have sore boobs, crampy twinges off and on, bloating, SO tired and nausea first thing in the morning, but it goes away when I eat breakfast.
I'm struggling with the whole "what can and can't I eat" thing. I'm gluten intolerant as well and now that I'm pregnant it makes it twice as hard! I usually have sushi every day for lunch How are you guys getting on with the food thing?
I'm LOVING being pregnant though! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's such an awesome, surreal feeling

:) Yay. Yeah I'm not feeling nausea yet and TBH that can hold off as long as it likes! its not nice!! A constant hangover feeling...
however have been having slight crampys this evening... i think thats just a normal thing... i hope! I saw my midwife today - same one we used last time. RTT why are you not using your previous midwife? She gave me a bounty pack and all that... reminded me about what i shouldn't eat... but really there's not too much you can't eat... Just general food hygiene really...
i am still a bit tired though... and I must say, one of the things about not having symptoms yet means you have to keep reminding yourself you are preg... and sometimes you feel like you might not be. one good thing about the morning sickness... while its there you know you are preg!! I still haven't really come to grips with it. yay though. Hoping the age gap is ok for Lillia...

phew! Started to panic there for a second, had a bit of brown blood this morning so just spoke to my midwife, should be fine apparently, she said to call her straight away if it turns bright red but she said it should be fine. I never actually had it with my other 3 not that I ever noticed anyway. Now I feel like a complete nob! lol |
