Topic: Itti AIO - Drying time Posted: 17 January 2011 at 9:31am |
Hi all,
I'm in the process of trying to decide whether to get a bakers dozen of Itti AIOs or a half n half of AIO and SIO. I've gone through previous threads regarding pros and cons for both but I just wondered which one is faster drying, particularly in winter?
I have a couple of both and I realised this morning that I tend to reach for the AIO before the SIO but I'm worried about running out of nappies in winter if they take too long to dry... (haven't gone through a winter yet!)
Any input appreciated!

I find they both dry about the same on the washing line at the moment. The AIO fold out part is the same stuff as the SIO inners so take about the same time. In winter they were roughly the same, with the SIO slightly longer. We dried ours on a frame above the fireplace, and they dried overnight. I have more AIO than SIO but thats cause they come up cheap on trade me more. The SIO tend to hold more pee than the AIO tho, and i would like to get more

The bit i find doesn't dry as fast is where the insert attaches to the nappy on the AIO.
Benefit of SIO, is that the insert dry's super fast so I have/had two sets per outer. Solved the drying problem in winter
I am going to be listing some Meds soonish on Trademe.

Thanks for your replies.
Have decided to go with the half n half so I have the best of both worlds, find the AIO much softer and a slightly better fit, and can replace the inserts in the SIO.

yep mealz i have the half n half thing and find it works great:) i dont have a major preference for one or the other, but if i get low stocks i can double use the outers of the SIOs and get thru another day:) i use my tuttos as night nappies, and when i dont get a leak from the start they last the whole night!

I started off thinking the SIOs were better, and so bought most of my mediums as SIOs, but also bought the odd AIO when I got a really good price on TradeMe. I noticed I liked the few AIOs I had more, and that they all dried in a day anyway (so the drying time didn't make much of a difference to me). I bought all AIOs when I bought larges.

Hopes - did you notice a difference in the absorbency between the SIO and the AIO?

I do find that sometimes the AIOs lose shape a bit after a while and definitely aren't as absorbant, but yes they are alot easier to grab from the washing pile!
