Not sure sorry.. my friend in paraparaumu was with another type of organisation, but not sure if they work in the hutt or not..

Can you request to change to a different plunket nurse if you're unhappy with the one you have?

Sounds like I'm not the only one unhappy with her Plunket Nurse! (perhaps I was just spoilt after having a REALLY lovely midwife who I miss heaps! )

Can anyone suggest an Auckland alternative?

I hated my Plunket Nurse and so I never saw her after Andrew's 3 month check. I didn't think she had the right to tell me that I shouldn't be formula feeding Andrew and that I should be breast feeding him. She didn't know the history and just assumed I was lazy being a young mum. I still have Andrew's checks done by plunket just at there rooms no where near the old plunket nurse. I also put a complaint in about her comment and she did have to applogise to me and has been told not to judge woman as some have to formula feed their babies and she needs to get the history first.

There are the Maori woman that do the checks as well all over the country. I would ring your MW again and tell her your issues and can she recommend someone else to do the checks.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
