I swear Abby is going to be the death of me. Last night she was sitting on her little ride on and was quite happy I go into the kitchen and the next thing I hear her screaming (which is apparently a good thing). She had fallen backwards of her bike so I picked her up and felt something warm on my arm and it was blood and a lot of it. So I yelled to Dh and he came rushing in grabbed my shoes a towel and facecloth and off to the doctors we rushed.
we were seen straight away which is not surprising seeing as she was covered in blood as was my arm. Turns out she has split the back of her head open Again however this time she did a really good job. It's two and a half centremetres wide and the doc said it was really deep. So they glued it and we have to watch for the next two days as he's not sure if the glue will stay there due to the size and they may have to stitch it!
So my baby had her first hair cut at the hands of her doctor. She was so brave when they were poking and prodding her all she said was Owww. I however was on the verge of tears especially when I saw the cut . the doc thinks it will probably scar but you won't see it once her hair grows back. I swear i ahve two older boys and in 20 short months that girl has given me more grey hairs than the boys put together!
We got home and the little minx climbed straight back on the ride on bike! It is now hidden outside where she can't get it. I did have to tell her off for jumping up and down on the edge of the couch Backwards though!! Talk about a hard learner.
OMG....Vick you are way stronger than I am....if I saw blood coming from my baby I would have fainted or had a heart attack (since I have High BP...its not unlikely)....man!!!
I hope that Abby recovers soon and with out any problems. May be you should tie her down to the dining table??? I am planning to do that soon...Zaara is soooo active!!
oh wow, that must have been so scary for you! it sounds like you handled it really well though, i probably would have panicked and burst into tears and been no use to anyone.
i hope abby recovers well and that she doesn't give you anymore scares like that, at least not for a while.
((HUGS)) that would of been scarey sounds a little like my son when he was that age but he had no fear at all jumping off things and windows but he finally grew out of it thank goodness.
