Just wanted to let you know that i finally brought a trial stize of one of these and have been using it for the last week or so... and it has been great.

on tues i was sweating heaps, walking up a hill, pushing toby and carrying gabriel (all 15 kg of him) in the hot sun... that night when i got home i made hubby smell me to check me out, and he said you could barely smell anything. i didnt feel stinky too which is a plus.

so another reusable product for me...

its a crystal that you use instead of deodorants...it inhibits the bacterial growth so you dont smell, instead of covering it up or blocking your pores.

I got it from greenbeans.

I've heard of them and seen them but never used one. Must get one for Willie - I swear he must EAT deoderant the way he goes thru it.

Is it the one in the clear container with blue writing? can't remember what it was called, DP got one from Commonsense Organics.. it didn't help with the smell!! lol.. if it's a different one, then might be worth a try!

I might get one too, I don't like using aluminium based deodorants..

They do last for ages.  It's kinda like a giant piece of rock salt - same sort of look.  I must get one again (been ages since I've used one), I don't like using aluminium-based deoderants either.  And I like non-scented stuff too.  If you try one and it doesn't work straight away, give it a week or so anyway, as sometimes our bodies need to adjust

So do you actually rub it under your arm like a 'normal' roll on deodorant at the beginning of the day as per usual? Or do you wait til you start sweating then use it?

roll it on just like a normal one - i found it best to rub it on just after my shower so i dont have to wet the stone.

I've been using one for quite a few years now - they are great. Sometimes I find I still get a bit sweaty in the height of summer, but not to the point of 'stinky' (sorry TMI!)
I have a DOVE brand 'backup' in the cupboard, but last time I used it, I ended up washing it off cos I couldn't stand the smell (unscented??) or the feel!
