Topic: Night time ittis- AIO/SIO? Posted: 01 June 2011 at 3:52pm |
Hi guys,
My 8month old has started wearing AIO itti bittis (d'lish)at night time. She has leaked through a couple times, but mostly she just wakes up really full and slightly smelly, which I don't like.
So, we are after something slightly more absorbent for her. I am wanting to stay with the same brand. Would you think using a SIO itti, or the itti boo would be a sufficient amount of extra absorbancy for her? IS there much difference between them all in your experiences?
TIA!

Sorry don't have any experience with anything other than the SIO's but just wanted to say that Itti bitti have a facebook page, you could ask your question there too.

The Bitti Boo is specially designed for night time use. You need to get a cover as well and its recommended to have some extra boosters. I am amazed your girl can last all night in an AIO, mine would last a few hours (or two pees). Your girl will start to pee more soon, so I doubt the SIO will last overnight (unless your super lucky).

Considering she sleeps with us/breastfeeds a lot during the night, I am surprised too! We will have at go at the boo I guess and see how we go. Will explore other brands if she gets heavier.

Agree with Wriggles, my girl barely lasts 3 hours during the day in a SIO. But Boo's are great for at night

When Mr C was in mediums I used Boo's over night with a thirsties cover. I now have him in a Tutto over night so that could be another option plus actually cheaper than the Boo & a cover.

I use boos with one booster (although have only needed to add the booster in the last month or so) with a bummis whisper wrap (from Snazzipants - although mine were from Trademe!). I found I sized up my boos much sooner than the d'lish - so DD was in large boos about 9 months before she went to large d'lish. And also the bummis covers are enormous sizes, so I use a medium cover over a large boo, and used a small cover over a medium boo.
We use a mix of AIO and SIO during the day, and there is no way either would do for nights.

I use my 1 AIO and SIO during the day and there is no way it would last the night, even boosted.
I use tuttos, mainly for day use but on the days I have run out of my dedicated night nappy (pop ins I love them :P) I have used the tutto overnight, with extra booster and front flap folded to the front (I have a tummy sleeper) It will JUST last the night but needs to be put on last thing and changed first thing in the morning. If woken up overnight she has water to calm her (its just part of her routine) so on the extra water nights it is just sopping and sometimes leaks out the front but otherwise works fine. Depends on the amount of wakeups.
She is older at 13 mths but I've been using that system (on the odd night) since tuttos came out when she was about 5/6 mths old.

According to itti bitti Australia FB page, there is a cover in development and testing... Can't wait for it. They could do something really cute!
A woollen soaker, shorties or longies also work well as a cover for the boo but they're harder to find...you could knit your own though.

I obviously have VERY light night wetters!!I am now finding normal AIO, with one mini booseter (sometimes 2) enough. I did get a boo, but it must be to big as she had a leek each of the 2 nights she wore it. We will continue as we are for now

Pekay, I'm presuming pooh leak? Boo's shouldn't leak if they've got a proper fitting cover over them. Thirsties are great with their leg gusset, I've got Beehinds covers and they don't work well on Boo's.

No, we number ones. They don't usually poop over night. She has woken with wetness around her legs. I beleive it is too big, but have only tried it 2 nights so far. Will be dry tomorrow and I will have another look. She hates getting dressed after her bath, screams down the house, so it is usually a game of 'how quick can we get a nappy on her' type situaiton.
