Thinking about getting one of these for W. He is usually not too bad at going to sleep with dummy and mobile but wanting something a bit more transportable than the mobile as we visit family on a semi-regular basis. Have read some really good reviews online about this and was just wondering about OhBaby people's experiences with them?

I love it and think it's really cute! Chloe couldn't care less though.

Having said that, I do know a fair few parents who use it successfully to help their babies sleep. It's probably going to be different for everyone though. It is a very pleasant toy at least.

Ours is definitely a sleep aid. Have had it since DD was about 4 months. Now at nearly 1 year, when I say something about her seahorse (which lives in her bed) she starts rubbing her eyes. Good portability too.

If you get one, be sure to wait for a sale!!

I like it and so does our daughter. I like that it's all I have to take when we go to stay elsewhere to ensure sleep transference. She loves to look at it, and now hold it, and talk to it. I'd recommend it.

DD couldn't care less. She likes it but definitely not a sleep aid for her and even now still overstimulates her before bed!

I specifically brought one because i'd heard so much on OB about it being a sleep aid. DS couldnt care less and like High9 said i think it probably distracts him more then anything - but thats just him needing quiet and dark to sleep. It annoys me because i can't seem to turn it off once it starts but it IS very soothing. I keep trying it in hopes we can make that sleep assosciation but really its just a friendly looking soothing toy, certainly entertains him if he's up but grizzly.

I found it by accident - you kinda press the back to stop it - near the fin :-)

Ahhhhh, that explains so much! Sometimes it DOES turn off but usually because i've grabbed it and am shaking it in desperation! Probably hitting the spot by mistake - thanks :)
