Topic: Ring Test Posted: 20 July 2011 at 8:49am |
Good morning Ladies,
Has anybody tried the 'ring test'? A friend of mine tried it last week and got a strong "Girl" vibe, so I tried it this morning and got a strong "Boy" vibe.
I know it's all just for a bit of fun, but some of my family (and DFs) use it religiously - was just wondering if anyone else has had any success with it, or even just tried it?
Anything to make the time pass by quicker aye?

Yup - we did it, I was convinced that it said Girl, but now that we've been told boy - it didnt really go in a circle at all - I was having a bit of wishful thinking I think!

Ha better bloody not be!
I was petrified about having twins (they run in my family but i'm TINY compared to my sisters so it'd destroy my body)... i even made them swear that after the 8w scan there was no way the 1 body we saw could possibly become two!

Ooh, and which one did you consider to mean boy and girl? I've been working from side to side = girl, while round and round = boy.

Yup I thought round and round for girl and back and forth for boy! That's the way it worked out for me anyway lol.
Cabbage test is where you boil up some red cabbage, and mix equal parts of the water from that with your wees (haha yup) and if it stays purple it's a girl, and if it goes red/pink it's a boy (will bump up the thread for you, was right for a lot of people on here) haha all fun and games

Oops sorry got that muddled up - round for girl, swing for boy :-) interestingly enough my dad came over last night for dinner, and one of the first things he asked was if I'd done the ring test - apparently my nana used to do it to everyone, and she was scarily accurate.
The cabbage test looks interesting but will need to wait for the morning sickness to subside before attempting to cook a cabbage!
