I miss having mayo in sandwitches - I LOVE nice bread topped with mayo and sliced tomatoes. The thing is I don't think I can have mayo - either store bought or home made. However, a pregnant co-worker of my hubby insists she eats store bought mayo.

So is store bought mayo (off the shelf, not the chilled section) OK or not?

I'm interested in the Best Foods brand mostly as I LOVE it - it's the only one I ever buy.

I was given a list of foods I could and couldn't have and store-bought mayo was OK. It's the homemade stuff you should avoid.

I like Best Foods too - and I'm still eating it!

Best foods is the BEST mayo...I never buy any thing else. And its OK to eat. I did! and Zaara is fine. Its the fancy sandwich places and home made you have to avoid!

Yep its just the home-made stuff that has raw egg in it thats not ok.

Supermarket bought mayo is fine as it is made with pasturised eggs. It was one of the first things I checked with the midwife!

You cant eat any mayo made from eggs (any type, just incase!)
