I am 5w6d today and just got the result of my 2nd HCG level this afternoon.
Monday was 13700 and today was 13500. My midwife said "it's not over yet but it is not looking good".

Im so gutted. This is the 3rd time in a year! I'm so sad and angry and fustrated to be going through this again. I have to have another test Friday and then guess will let nature take its course.

My heart goes out to all of us on this thread.
 This sux!

(I also want to mention I am extremely grateful I have a son and don't mean to upset anyone who don't have any by sounding ungrateful).

   Thanks ladies.
Have any of you been to the Recurrent Miscarriage clinic? Is there one on the shore? My MW said I can get a referral via my GP there now.

Thanks Kazza. I googled it and saw that one too. Not sure why I thought there was one on the shore.
We went back to FertilityPlus a few months ago after our 2nd MC but they can't help us now since we are actually getting pregnant. (we were originally referred through them while we were TTC #1 as that time we couldn't get pregnant at all!). They said this time because we have DS, they can only help with IVF (we pay) if we don't get pg again which is not what we need now.

This TTC journey is so fustrating! I realised the other day I started TTC 7 yrs ago and luckily I have DS who is 4 soon but it has consumed a few years now!

As you have a child already too, do you mind me asking if you are publicly funded through Greenlane or are you private?

eta - didi thank you, I remember how helpful you were when I had my 1stMC. I am so stoked for you hun! Wishing all the best in the world for this pregnancy x

Hmm yeah- I was referred by my GP & it is publically funded- (my GP explained that is why you have to wait until 3rd m/c because otherwise it would be too expensive to run- which makes sense I guess) but totally get where you are coming from, its so frustrating.
In my case I was referred after my 3rd m/c they did all the standard testing (unfortuantely came back with 'unexplained secondary infertility'- but they did monitor me really closely with the next pregancy, they do HCG tests & weekly scans if you wish & were all super supportive when I m/c'd again
Wish you all the best with them, or privately if you go that way p.s.wow didi 22 weeks now! stoked its all going so well 4 u |

Thanks pikelets & Kazza, I honestly cannot believe I have made it this far.
Pikelets I went though the recurrent MC Clinic too and they are really nice there. My MC's where considered "unexplained" as well which is really frustrating but I do not know how I would of stayed sane without the weekly scans, particuarly cause I bleed from 5weeks to just past 9 weeks.
Pretty sure it doesn't matter that you already have a child either as when I left I did ask them if next time round I am just considered "normal" or do I still go through them and they said I can still come to them.

I had my 3rd HCG test today and got the results. ( I ticked urgent on the form so I didn't have to wait all weekend )
Anyway it came back at 17000 so has gone up which my MW said is unusual.
 (13700, 13500, 17000)
MW said we will probably have to wait for the scan in 2 weeks to see whats happening to be sure.
From googling (yes I know I shouldn't) it doesn't sound promising. Has this happened to anyone else before??

My MW called yesterday and said she spoke to a specialist who has recommended to have my scan at the end of next week as the HCG tests are not showing anything concrete.
 No bleeding which is good

I am trying to remain positive but not get my hopes up too high (which is hard).

FX that everything works out hun.
We planned to go to Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, but decided to go to Shore Woman and saw a guy named Vijay Bhoola, who was great. (Situated in Albany.) Murphy's Law made sure that when we started investigating why it wasn't working out for us, we were told to not get pregnant, and then we did. And he's been great, tracking my pregnancy. He has a lot to do with different hospitals in Auckland so has contacts all over.

   Thanks ladies.
Kazza, we decided to wait until the end of the week. With my first MC, when we went for the scan, they said it was borderline and wouldn't call it either way and told us to wait another week incase the fetal pole did start beating. I was bleeding last time and nto long after it all happened anyway.

Kelzie - thanks for that I will keep that in mind.

Still no bleeding which is good. Will let you know how I get on on Friday.
