So who has had a lap op?
i have been to the fertility specialist last week and been told i need a one! They are going to check for Endo and also check my tubes.
So i have some questions for those who have had this done!

Did you go Public or Private? What were the wait times for both?
Who did you get booked through for either public or private? (like did you ring the hospital to book or your FS)
Did you stay in hospital over night?
How long would you reccomend to take off work?

And the biggest one for me right now...
Did it hurt? and how long did you have to wait for BDing time???

Any other tips anyone has would be much appreciated!!!

Did you go Public or Private? What were the wait times for both? - public, no health insurance :(

Who did you get booked through for either public or private? (like did you ring the hospital to book or your FS)
- FS booked it - got a letter from the hospital comfirming Im on the waitlist

Did you stay in hospital over night? - Yes, my LAP was about 2 or 3 pm and I had very low blood pressure so I had to stay over night. I really didnt want too but it was fine.

How long would you reccomend to take off work? - One week, the first few days was sore and I was tired from the drugs but back to normal after 5 days. I still had a swollen tummy just took it easy.

And the biggest one for me right now...
Did it hurt? and how long did you have to wait for BDing time??? - No didnt hurt, drugs are good like that Just tender/sore. Most people get shoulder pain from the gas they pump into your tummy area but for me it got trapped under my rib cage in the center and was really uncomfortable!!
BDing was fine, cant remember when we "did it" but it was fine
I was so afraid of going under but that was the best part LOL
I had a bit of work done unblocking tube etc and Grade 4 endo was found/removed still not UTD yet :( but I am an exception as in dont count on me getting UTD, I need IVF for that.
Heaps of people do fall preggas esp after the tube flush (HSG) you will get also during the LAP so FX it works out for you.

There is a really good topic on this in the infertility section, you should take a look probably on the 1st or 2nd page :)
