My 20 month old daughter has been diagnosed with congenital short achilles tendons. It's more severe on the left, she is unable to stand flat on that foot. She is unable to stand or walk without me holding both her hands. We have seen an Orthopedic surgeon and have tried splinting and physio, but it seems we are going to have to have the tendon lenghthening surgery. My main concern is that I suspect she also has hypermobility in her knees and ankles and I can't find any info about how best to treat this combination of problems. We are seeing the orthopedic surgeon again next friday. I would love to hear form anyone who's been through this and what they did, how it worked etc.
Thanks
