I have just found out I am pregnant again . However this means by oldest 2 boys will need to share a room. I was thinking about getting bunks but my eldest has night terrors and I am worried he will fall out. I can do single beds in the room but won't leave much space to play.

What does everyone think

these are the bunks btw

Wow flash! How old are your boys? What about the bunks that can be 2 single beds while they younger, then convert to bunks?

They're awesome but look like they might take up alot of room like two singles? Bunks with added storage are always good too :)

what we are actually doing is getting a carpenter friend of ours to build the top bunk and shelf to match the bed we currently have, and then DS2s bed will stay in the babies room for the baby when he/she is older. We brought their current beds brand new for 1000 each so not keen on getting rid of them so we thought this would be a good option.

The ladder will come straight down rather then out though so it doesn't take up as much space.

DS1 will be 5 and DS2 2.5 by then

Bunks are in top 10 for "cause of injury" to under 8year olds.
We had a bunk for our boys when they were 4 and 2 and you cant stop the little one from climbing up Im afraid.
We ended up getting 2 small beds after 1 of the boys cracked his eye socket and cheek bone when he fell from the top.
If you get them I hope you have better luck, but I would advise waiting til they are bigger

I have to agree with QueenBee, i have seen lots of kids concussed as part of my job from bunk falls. After 7 i think is the recommended age, and even then they still fall out!
