Sit yourself on the couch with either the remote or a good book, and just go with it. Always make sure you make the cuppa tea before you sit down and have it waiting for when he nods off.
I always swaddled before feeding so if DD nodded off, she was less likely to notice if I put her down in the cradle. So occasionally she would let me move her.
DD spent the first 3 weeks asleep on me sucking like there was no tomorrow, and sometimes I felt I would never get off the couch.

I also became very adept at dozing while sitting with her asleep on my lap. (probably frowned upon!) I'd had a c-section so it forced me to chill for a few weeks, ,which helped speed up my recovery. She ended up being a great little sleeper and BFer. So after about a month she was sleeping longer (in a bed!) so I had some time for me.
