Over the last couple of years its been not trying not preventing slowly getting to the TTC part if you know what I mean. I think we decided to actually start in Feb so that would make it 6 months.

I don't think it would hurt to go and see your gp and say that you havnt been on any contraception for 2 years and tracking and timing right for 6 months they should start you off with the basic tests for you and your hubby (very important he gets tested too) our first took 18 months of timing it right to come up with the right combination lol, we were on the wait list to see fert specialist at the time. If GP fobs you off then I would maybe try FA instead

What should I expect? Blood tests for hormone levels for me and sperm sample for him? As well as diet, lifestyle etc details. I always have a definate temp rise each month as well as I can feel the difference when the different hormones come into play.

I went for my progesterone test today :s I am so nervous. Fingers crossed that I ovulated! I am having such a bad year :( My cousin is now in hospital in Vegas in an induced coma, and with a fractured neck, broken eye socket and they had to take the top of his skull off. All because he fell down some stairs. What with all the deaths, my car accident and my chemical pregnancy, I am exhausted! Please let me have ovulated...please something positive.

Hey KP06, just been reading your posts about being concerned. I was a hypercondriac while TTC and granted we didn't try for as long as you have but I did give up caffeine that cycle, drank 2L water/fluids a day for 6weeks prior and still going) and tried the SMEP the month we were successful. www.spermmeetseggplan.com I got a bit nutty with fertility foods. Tracked my temp and did OPKs (was interesting to find I probably Ovd same day as darkest OPK which I realised once temping too. I ate yams the week before Ov (nature's clomid). Also for some reason both DH and I relaxed that cycle, the sex was better and better sex for him means more sperm shot out at a faster pace. Ohh yeah. DH was also taking zinc supplements, which aid healthy sperm production. If I were you I'd try a couple more cycles trying some of the natural ways you can improve things and then see your GP. My GP was really dismissive and said just to keep trying. So I knew I had to take matters into my own hands naturally first.

How many days before Ov do you usually start using OPK's? I think the earliest it's ever been for me is CD14 for Ov day.

Hi KP06, oh I'm sorry to hear it hasn't happened for you this month either. :( It's so frustrating and upsetting (as we all know), I feel your pain. One thing I can say is you are SO lucky to only be 26/27!!! I would give anything to have met Todd 20 years ago and have been able to have our babies in our 20's/early 30's!!! So you have time on your side and you are both healthy etc, you are really lucky.
However -- I wouldn't leave it any longer to go and get a fertility assessment either. Like some of our other friends here, I too suggest you see your GP as soon as possible, or even better -- make an appointment to see a Doctor at Fertility Associates, I highly recommend them! I saw Dr Olivia Stuart, she is excellent. You will have all the blood tests done and an ultrasound, and then have peace of mind that everything is fine (or at least know if something isn't right).
I am going to be 39 in less than two weeks (my birthday is on 10th September), although I feel much younger and I too am very healthy and fit and have got pregnant twice (quickly and easily) before (with our two angel babies) and know there is nothing wrong with my fertility (except for sadly my AMH is on the low side of normal for my age). :( But I honestly feel sick just thinking about it and it feels like a VERY long mountain to climb from here to our dream of having our own two perfect, healthy babies. :(
I know I'm probably repeating what others have told you, but I hope this helps. Sending you hugs xo
