That is a really random thing to be told. I know a friend of mine has had the comment before as her step son is dark due to a medical condition.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Lol what an odd thing for the lady to say - I spose it better than being horrible about it - I know now a days its so normal to have different fathers to your children (I should know mine are) so its nice to hear someone being positive about it.

And they are very brown and very white (even blue eyes)! But they look so cute. Maybe the comment came after the news last week about twins who her dark and white.

My DH has a cousin who is Maori (he is NZ Pakeha). When she introduces herself to his friends she says "Hi, I'm Nathaniel's cousin.... *first* cousin" - so fun!

My brother (full brother) and I are like that - I'm white with blonde hair and he's dark skinned with dark hair. We are quarter Maori so I guess he has taken those genes, and I've got the Swedish/Welsh genes. Nobody actually believes we are even related!

Your boys are beautiful!! But some people seriously have no tact.

My SIL and her husband have two boys. J looks just like his dad who is full Kiwi - blonde hair and blue eyes. N looks just like his mum who is half Samoan and half Scottish and he has brown hair and eyes and is darker than J. A stranger asked my SIL straight out if they had different fathers due to their looking nothing alike!! Now that is rude!!

what a weird comment....but i know it would have been hard to think of a comeback at the time = and hopefully the same comment never comes again...!!!

I was with my Aunty (white short fat american) and her adopted daughter (from India) - me I am tall olive skinned with dark hair...and some women came up and told my cousin how cute she was and much she looked like her mummy - luckily women had gone before my aunt realised she was meaning me to be the mummy....boy was my aunt ropeable!!!
