Welcome all the newbies! We have a great forum going now! awesome! Yes with the sex issue I have heard that spotting afterwards is common, that totally freaks me out and we have only had sex maybe three times in this past month since finding out!? I know DP finds it a bit tough but is understanding, I do want to, haven't been put off as I hear can happen but just worries me! I feel like my symptoms are getting slightly better....at night seems to be the worst, first thing in the morning I think I have got the hang of what makes me feel ok, eating something immediately after waking, a bit of exercise and then a decent breakfast, seems to set me up well for the day. Does anyone feel nauseous when driving ? (themselves!!), my job involves a lot of driving and I feel car sick often (didn't think poss driving yourself haha). Over 8 weeks now and have told a couple more close friends :) have a nice day everyone xx

Congrats and welcome to the new ladies since I last posted.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but when my MS kicked in I felt awful. Water and dry crackers/toast is all I can stomach right now, hoping it doesn't last the whole 9 months like last time. Found out at my scan that we are Due 8th July. We already have 5 boys, aged 6, 4, 3(Twins) and 14 months.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. :-)

Thanks for your messages Kashmir and Anna. Excuse the silly question but what exactly does DM stand for? I know it means my partner but can't figure out the abreviation! Yes, we have been doing alternatives as I am just not enjoying sex at the moment as am always worried about the baby. My partner has been great, really understanding and said if we have to wait till baby arrives then that is what we'll do. I have still been spotting a little today so am a little nervous, but again, still a darkish colour. A & E lady last time said not to worry as much if it was still darkish, so fingers crossed. Might do another HPT just to make sure I still have a strong positive. Can't wait to get to that 12 week mark!!

1st time mum 2 B - DH is dear husband and DP is dear partner, DS is dear son and DD is dear daughter :) I thought it was darling to begin with but I guess whichever works! :) Apparently 40% of woman have spotting, and hear common after sex so hope all is ok with you & bub! Chipchi we are due on the same date!!! Did you have awful morning sickness the entire time through all your pregnancies?

Anna, when I was working driving to and from work in the Auckland traffic was a killer - I took a few plastic bags so I could spew once I got to my car park... thankfully I never had to use them while I was driving - there would have been no way I could have pulled over! I found distractions like the radio were great, also having the window down and having cool air on my face. I think our hormones plateau at around 10-12 weeks so hoping we will be on the up and up soon.

Thanx LouLou, sometimes I feel like my symptoms are gradually going away 'overall' but then I have moments where nausea etc. is just as bad! those moments seem to be getting few and far between though, lessening I think...or maybe I have just worked out ways to deal with them..feel like its too early but we will see :) Oh and LouLou thanks for updating list but my due date is July 8th :) :) thank-you !!!

Tell me about it Anna97949, not sure if I'm getting better at being distracted, or found ways to combat MS, either way its a right pain feeling this way. DH is strictly prescribing grated ginger and lemon drink - even making it for me and making sure I drink every last drop - think is b/c he is sick of my moaning LOL! I have my 1st scan tomorrow - first thing in the am, and went to get a 'tidy' down below so as not to scare the sonographer ahah! How vain! Super excited, it will be the first time that all the sickness feels worth it I think. It still all seems surreal as there is nothing to show for it (yet, apart from yuck symptoms) and that its in my head. Has everyone else had scans already? Booked a MW? I was also told to look at ante natal classes ASAP as they book fast. Anyone have any recommendations?

Hey everyone :) I'm 6 weeks today and all over the place, even reading through some of these messages has me in tears. Useless! It's really hard having such a big secret that is so exciting I want to burst, but at the same time not being able to/not wanting to tell anyone incase I have to un-tell them. Life is so confusing at the moment.... And all this while I am hoping like anything the growing in my puku is going well!
It is so nice to read through all the posts on here and know that everything I am feeling and experiencing is 'normal' even if I do feel like crying.
Ooooh, and Yay Fairyfloss- we share an important date!
Congrats everyone.

Morning everyone, I was up all night with slight cramping and feeling a bit ill. The cramping was getting me very worried after our first miscarriage. I went to the toilet this morning and after that I feel fine. (sorry that may be too much to share) Has anyone else had this or should I be going to see the doctor. I'm not sure if any cramping is a good sign? Welcome and congrats to the new mums!!

Hey Casey!
Congrats! How exciting! yeah, it has been at the back of my mind the whole time - but all seems to be going well so far! Fingers crossed it stays that way - I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Going to my first MW appt tonight and she's going to organize a scan for us, so that will be exciting.
I've had a lot of nausea this time around, I didn't in my last pregnancy, so I while it's gross, it's a positive sign!!!

Hi gsbuni, I went to the doctor on Monday and got given a test that showed positive and then was told to come back at 8 weeks (3 weeks away). I get how you feel. After a miscarriage it is very hard not to think the worst all the time. It would be nice if the doctors help you stay positive. Keep your chin up i'm sure you will be fine this time around. (Easy to say I know)
xx
