that is heart breaking i agree with the statement about that the investment is worth it for your child. too often money comes in the way for things in my life but i reckon if it will help give extra protection its soooooooo worth it.

Thats soo sad, goes to show that you should never skimp when it comes to your childs or anybodies life and the protection of it. What a horrible loss for their Family but what an amazingly huge effort they have gone to to help educate people on the importance of this.

That song does it for me every time, Maya knows all the words and she is standing here with me...
She is in an Evenflo Apollo convertible booster that has a removable 5 point harness and can then be used with a seatbelt. The 5 point harness is supposed to come off at 18kg but she is 18.5kg and still fits it so I have left it on and will until she doesn't fit it anymore. Her booster seat in my Mum and Dad's car has a tether bolted harness as well.

I couldn't even watch the whole thing I had tears running down my face and DH making fun of me . We have had to use the booster seat for Andrew once when he had an accident in his carseat (of the wees type). So not taking him out of the carseat until I really have to now.

I just saw the first 7 seconds, I can't watch things like that it's just sickening. I read the little blurb beside the video, sounds like a freak accident that got out of control. Poor little guy.

I only watched the first 10 seconds as Telecom "big" broadband sux and has made out internt slower! BUT, we have always thought Jake needed to stay in a five-point harness, more for his ability to open doors, and generally fiddle with things he isn't meant to, but that solidifies my resolve!

yeah the family got hit in there at at a crossing and as he was only in a booster seat with a seatbelt, the seatbelt failed and unlocked... as the car rolled he was flown out of the van and died on impact!
Makes you think twice about car seats etc

I know what you mean about telecom...... ring them up and complain that what DH did and you know what 5 minutes later we were getting at a faster speed!

Wow what an amazing thing for them to do. Made me cry like a baby! Scary stuff.
We got a 5 point booster from Baby factory- it is supposed to go up to 6 years and was only about $120. It bolts into the car at 3 seperate points- top and each bottom side. Its really good.

SCary stuff. Will definitely remember that when Han outgrows her carseat.
OT - we are with TelstraClear and their new broadband plans are great! You pay for the speed you want (4 levels, 4 prices) and then for every 1GB you use it is $2.95, but if you use it all up, it just automatically tops you up with another so it never goes slow!
