Topic: Somebody call CYFS... Posted: 19 November 2006 at 3:09pm |
About the shocking mother who was having a bath with her three year old and fell asleep in the bath and by the time she woke up said three year old had gotten out of the bath, gotten dressed, pulled a chair up to the pantry, taken out a bag of marshmallows, used a pair of scissors to open the bag and then eaten half of them...
I guess that's what sleep deprivation does to you...

I'm more surprised that she figured out to use scissors to open the bag
Yep, the nanny still comes in Mon, Wed Fri morning and all day Thurs, but that doesn't help at 2am when my shocking sleepers are screaming...

Good on Maya! Haha Hannah is also learning some extra independence of late... I sleep so soundly (but in bed, can't get comfy otherwise) that she is basically left to it Seems pretty happy about it though...

arent they quick when they need to be...i can just imagine if she was on hidden video footage getting out and doing all that faster than she would do anything else ever...LOL...
I feel your tiredness just from your post - you poor thing...but am glad to hear you still have the nanny coming in...make the most of it and get some sleep while she is there...I nannied for a woman once and she would have a nap while i was there looking after the kids so she was refreshed when hubby came home and the kids woke at 6pm again...i thought it was a great idea - oh yeah and i got paid for it!!!

Oh Emma - you must've been exhausted! I'm impressed that Maya got dressed before hunting for the marshmellows... clever little girl!

I'm ashamed to admit that the cupboard-foraging is a habit I taught her when I was pregnant and couldn't get out of bed before lunchtime. Many a time she had rice crackers and animal biscuits for breakfast
