Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, so please forgive me (and set me straight) if I've put it in the wrong spot.

I've just found out that I'm pregnant!! It's very exciting, although slightly awkward timing as I'm getting married in two weeks... still, we were going to start trying in a couple of months anyway. FH and I are over the moon about it. I'm due at the start of August next year, can't wait!

Hope to see you all around soon

Hi and welcome. there is a thread under general post to introduce yourself if you like. Congrats on your pregnancy! We had a similar situation with my first pregnancy, everyone says it can take 6 months to get pregnant when coming off the pill but uh no, one month later and 2 months before our wedding we got pregnant! Where are you from?

Nothing wrong with Aussies, i'm a very proud one myself.

Congrats on the pregnancy, do you know your due date?

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Thanks everyone!

Can't believe I'm the first August mum so far - is everyone else still in shock or something?

I have been having weird little twinges really low in my tummy, they just started today. They don't hurt really, and they are very faint but obviously I'm a bit on edge about anything unusual going on. Are they normal, does anyone know?

Yes Mikaela, we've just been talking about this with Baysmum. Your pelvis is just stretching. You may feel it on and off during the first trimester.

Welcome and congrats. Your going to love it in here, it's very addictive.
Im Monique, Im 23 and live in lower Hutt with Df Nathan and DD Haleigh (29.9.07) we are expecting our 2nd bub (EDD 23.6.07)
Man I cant believe we got August mummies already, wow, I remember when being a June, then July mum was a huge deal and that doesnt feel too long ago.
I noticed with my first pregnancy I felt every little feeling and I had that too, this time round I just all of a sudden had a bump at 8wks, and the only feeling Ive felt so far are little movements, I guess Im going to have another strong kicker lol.
I noticed through my first pregnancy and through this one too so far, I still felt my period pains when I was due for 2 days but thankfully no where near as painful as period pain.
When your in the first trimester every little pain or feeling in teh tummy can be weird or worry you.
Look forward to seeing you round ohbaby. Be sure to keep us updated, I love preggy stories

Hi there, I am also another Mum due in August, (12/08).
I am 4.5 weeks pregnant now and is my first. Am a little bit nervous as don't know what to expect.
I haven't felt any MS yet at all, a little bit of cramping is going on but not alot. We are going to tell my parents tonight, we will wrap up a little baby tshirt and write on it: Congrats on being grandparents or something like that.
Just working out what i can and cant' eat, a quick question can i eat canned salmon? Someone said to keep away from canned goods, but am not sure??
I had Blood Tests done on Tuesday (only 2 days after period due) and the HCG was 110, is this about right?
Thanks for all your help.
