Topic: Food Question - not kids food Posted: 04 December 2006 at 2:29pm |
1. How many points is a pinky bar worth in WW points? I've forgotten and DH is going to go back onto with the points values we have (they are old but I'm hopefully going to go to WW after I've had this bubs) for the next wee while.
2. Can you freeze Cheese?
Can you freeze marge and butter?
We are using our xmas club money this week and I want to buy things that are on special and hopefully freeze then till we need them.

I freeze butter and margarine, and they seem to be fine. What's not fine however is cream! Found that one out last week.

Pinky - I think the little ones are 1 or 1.5 each. I have a calculator at home, so if no one can tell you for sure, I can work it out if you give me kilojoules and saturated fat and will do it tonight.

I have tried to freeze a block of cheese and it went a bit yuk! But i do freeze grated cheese and it works fine. I somtimes buy a bag of grated Mozeralla cheese and freeze it, then u can just get out as much as u need for a meal.

You should be able to keep a block of cheese in the fridge until Christmas, provided it is not opened. Sorry don't know anything else lol

I'm looking at getting a few blocks of cheese as with the discount we have the cheese works out to around $4 a kilo, something too cheap to give up. Spec as we have $350 to spend on groceries.
