Ginger I went to the doctor today as I have been crook all week and mentioned it to him about my cycles again, and the discharge I had during the week and wasn't too concerned at all.
We are going into FA next month so no doubt I will be on Clomid again.

I feel really crappy posting this here cos I know you all have been waiting a lot longer than me. I'm pg.
My body has done a complete 180 this month and I have been feeling like crap, haven't been able to stand up straight properly due to cramps, apparently that might be o pain? So the docs were right that I'd never o'd before, just happened that the month we weren't charting we had lots of cuddles and I managed to o. What a waste of $250 for tests etc! Just kidding.
Good luck to everyone, I have no advice because I have no idea how the hell this happened, but am thrilled nevertheless.

Emz congrats
I spoke to fertility associates and the nurse there thinks I could be on provera to bring on my period. She is going to talk to my specialist about it and they will want me to do a full blood count.

Our IUI co-ordinator from FA rang up she said that she wants me to have a blood test done tomorrow and will fax the form to Counties Care and will mark it urgently.and will ring me once she gets the results back and depending on what my hormones are doing she will decide if I should be on clomid or provera.

Had my blood test done this morning with a urgent request and my OB wants me to go on Northisterine to bring omn my period ( I think this is how you spell it)? They also want Dh and I to go in and sign some consent forms that they want us to do in the next few days.
I think I have to take northisterine for 10 days then ring on my first day of my bleeding.I wonder if you are allowed to do the IUI on the following cycle?

Hi everyone... I'm new to this, but have been looking for a while for somewhere to discuss feelings and issues to do with not conceiving so hope I am in the right place.
My name is Kirsty am 32 and been married for 4 years. Hubby and I have been trying for the last 18 months or so with no joy. I have PCOS (and VERY irregular cycles) and am diabetic (thanks PCOS) and overweight (again thanks PCOS!!).
All my friends seem to be able to just think about a baby and are pregnant... It is getting really demoralising...
Last year I stumbled onto the Ovacue - anyone else heard of it? It is a wee gadget that tests saliva and vaginal fluid electrolytes to give about 5-7 days prediction of ovulation and confirms this has occurred. This cycle managed to identify ovulation 2 weeks ago and managed to time everything right... Negative test yesterday though... needless to say was more than a little emotional . Poor hubby is absolutely incredible.
Anyway... Just wanted to say hi and have a wee vent... turned out to be a bit of an epic story though hasn't it? cheers everyone and I love reading the support you all have for each other!!

Hi Kirstyg Ive just been diagnosed with PCOS as of last week so its all new to me! I just had a friend give birth to a beautiful little girl today after a month of trying...and another girl I know who has recently had 2 abortions and is pregnant again and is keeping this one! its depressing! I have a saliva scope thing but not sure aobut the 5-7 day thing? it just shows me ferning when I may be close or are ovulating, but even with that "sign" my Dr said cause my cycles were longer than 40 days long I probably wasnt ovulating...so it may not be a 100% method of determining it??? guttered about the negative test! Have you been seeing a specialist or anything?

Hi Kye... good site is www.pcosupport.org. Not under a specialist at present as my diabetes was only diagnosed last year when I went to GP to get referral to specialist. Have been busy sorting that side of life out and using the ovacue (check out fertilitysolutions.co.nz) which goes the next step to the microscope. I know what you mean about the long cycles, that is what I was told when my PCO was diagnosed (wasn't interested in a family at the time so didn't matter then). My cycles are anything up to 80-90 days, so it was great to get the ovacue and if nothing else I know I do ovulate. Not every cycle, but at least it does happen. Now that the diabetes is sorted I will be heading back to my GP (who is on maternity leave!!) to get a referral to a specialist for help. My specialist I saw last time said we would try Clom as soon as I wanted a family - so have seen someone in the past, which is good from a history side of things.
Anyway check out the ovacue - it is expensive - but if it works then what price for a baby? and the NZ distributor is a really lovely lady and very helpful. Happy to answer any questions for anyone though.
