Whats the earliest anyone has heard of a baby walking?
Im just REALLY paranoid since Ella can bear her own weight and stand for ages. I know shes a bit off from it but still its not that far off

I'm gonna sound like a bit of a downer here but Hannah loooooved standing all the time... she hated sitting down.
She didn't walk properly until 13 months.

Andrew walked at 9 months. He was holding his weight for a long time (prob from 5 months). Did either of you or Cory walk early? I was walking at 9 months and usually if one parent walked early then your bub may do as well. (Doesn't always happen thou).

I walked at 9 months and Charlotte walked at 10 months (I think Daddy not walking until 18 months must have slowed her down!). Is Ella crawling yet? Charlotte didn't start until 6 months but she started cruising about 2 weeks after that- it took another 3 1/2 months before she went from cruising (or walking with us holding her hands) to actually walking on her own.

One of the girls on my MTB on EBB, her little boy will be walking soon and he's nearly 8 months. Another one of my friends (2 friends OMG!) little boys walked at 8 months. Both have siblings though.
And Carmel's little Piper could stand really well from a young age, but I think I just read that she started crawling at christmas time

Yep do the preparing now. I really hated Andrew walking so early it was a nightmare trying to keep track of him. And being a boy he had to explore everywhere and he went everywhere. Thank God for the fully fenced and enclosed section.

Maya was standing at 7 1/2 mths, walking unassisted by 10 mths but she spent a goot 2 1/2 mths furniture cruising before that. She was never much of a crawler, didn't start till 8 mths and much preferred being upright. I think the gremlins will crawl earlier as they love being on their tummies and can creep forward (unintentionally) already but I have a suspicion they will be late walkers. Don't know why I think that, just that they seem a bit lazy...

9mos is the earliest I've heard. Both my girls started walking on their own in their 13th month which is pretty funny because Hannah started crawling at 10mos and Briona started crawling at 5mos! Briona was pulling to standing at 6mos which was a pain because she was a bit short for most furniture so when she fell down, she hit her head

My brother walked at 8 months, was running around and on his trike at his 1st birthday. I walked at 10 months and yet Zaara is still not fully walking (taking a few steps) but is furniture cruising at the moment...and she is fast!!

umm I think that should be normal not lazy. The average age is 13 months
Kudos to those who have earlier walkers, my Ella walking at 13.5 months was early enough for me (esp since she started running the day after she started walking).

yah my plunket nurse said that in her little manual it says 18 months for walking...so Zaara has plenty time before we start getting worried. Mind you in the rate she is going, shell be off soon....
She is a very fast crawler tho and she didnt start till she was 9 months (she was crawling backward for two months).

Don't worry Roksana, my friends' daughter wasn't walking until about 20 months. I was starting to wonder why she wouldn't walk but she just wasn't interested.. has always taken her time with things
