Regarding post about hubby’s being tired.

What does your husband help with around the house? And with the kids?

Hubby baths McKayla at night but sometimes I get a bit tired of telling him what the time is and that it is getting late. (over her bath time already)

Doesnt really help with cleaning but Trash is his department and cutting grass is his as well.

He is quite good at changing nappies ect.

DH takes care of the lawns, although we're looking at paying someone to do that this year. He looks after the girls between 5-5.30pm so I can organise dinner in (relative) peace. He generally takes care of the gardens. And he loads the dishwasher each day (or unloads it if I happened to load it that time). Lately he has been helping out on the odd occasion with vacuuming etc.

ETA: Oh and after dinner the girls have a little play-time and then we tidy the lounge and get them ready for bed, all together. DH gets Briona and I get Hannah, which is fine by me because Briona is a wriggler

I'm pretty old fashioned in my views, I think that since Dale is the only one working for cash, then I should be the one working at home. Although in saying that he will do what ever I ask him to do He is such a good boy!

Oh this is such a good topic at the moment as i am currently right this minute giving hubby the very cold treatment!!! He has only just gone back to work after having a long break off work with health problems. His help and involvment varies alot and has become a big fight starter!! my son has started to not listen to me at all particularly when hubby is home and even the outsiders have started to comment, when Bay plays up hubby will not help to dicipline and will often pick him up and cuddle and make me seem like a horrible person! . Today he got home from work and had a 2 hour long bath! then layed on the couch and hasnt moved and when i expressed my anger about his lack of help he barked that "he earns the money so the rest is my job!!!" of course this upsets me especially being pregnant tired and crying at the smallest things!!!
Anyway that was slightly off the topic but i just needed to vent

Our carpets are lucky if they get it once a week lmao

But in answer to the original question - although I don't have kids just yet DH does some, he mows the lawns (if I remind him), usually he cleans the kitchen and when he runs out of clean boxers he tends to do a load of washing but that is really about the extent of it. Oh but he does help with cooking because I'm vegetarian, if he wants meat he has to help otherwise I'd probably burn it or give it to him pretty raw lol.

Like Stacey, we don't have kids yet, but I am very lucky to have a DH who does everything. Long may it continue!

We have lived together for 6 years, and I have never cleaned the toilet (don't worry - he does it!) I am allergic to dust, so he vaccums, though during term time my sister does the cleaning. He is also much tidier than me so he is always tidying up my 'piles of crap' to make it easier to put stuff away.

Since getting pregnant, he has learnt to cook more meals, and will always offer to cook now. FOr about 10 weeks there he did all the grocery shopping and washing, normally this is shared though slightly more done by him. He has also been busy with gardsning stuff as he won't let me do it - mind you when we shop together he won't let me take the shopping in either - though recently I was allowed to bring in the toilet paper!

When we watch tv or movies we snuggle on the couch and he gives me back massages - sometimes I reiprocate!

I think my job is usually to do the cooking, and to look beautiful (his words - luckily he thinks that even in unwashed hair and scruffy clothes!)

must say my partner is pretty good he gets up with madison every morning gives maddy her bottle  and he does all the outside stuff and if i ask  he will do the dishwasher for me and most other things.

Oh I forgot about the dishes - I am not very good at loading the dishwasher, so he does that too. He likes to make sure things are totally rinsed before they go in, so I try to remember to do that when I do put dishes in!

DH is pretty good about things, he does all the outside bits and pieces, and other stuff if I ask ("indoor chores"). I usually do the salad and get the meat ready, and then he'll go cook it on the BBQ (oven if it's raining), he'll help with folding washing if I've got a big load, and is really good with Erin most of the time - even gives me a Saturday morning sleep in
