After Erin gets up I think I will take her to our local after hours clinic - she has been doing an inordinate amount of sh*tty nappies today, and her rash is getting worse, not better - and I've been trying almost everything. After some discussion with friends as well, I'm thinking it might possibly not be nappy rash, but not sure what else *sigh* Her poor little bum looks really sore, and sorry if TMI, is bleeding a tiny bit... so best to get it sorted sooner rather than later I think.

Awww poor little lass let us know how you get on? I read somewhere that there is nappy rash then something else which is a bacterial infection. I hope she gets better soon the poor lass!

And the answer ladies and gentlemen, for $27... was...

*drumroll*

THRUSH

So, we have some cream, and the doctor said it would definitely clear up with this - 3x daily and use Vaseline when not using the cream. Oh, and going to pick up some Canesten In-wash stuff from the supermarket tomorrow.

I feel a lot better, mind you, I also had a wee blub to Roland when he got home - long week / long day *sigh* You know the story LOL

Thanks for the support ladies

Hey Jax, glad its sorted for you now, give you some peace of mind. I had the same prob with Ashlyn after having antibotics. I was also told that they can be pron to thrush returning at teething (stressful)times. I always had a tube of Mi-creme H (prescp) for when it returned. BTW did they also check her mouth for any traces, no good getting rid of down below if there is some oral.

Not sure if they checked her mouth, didn't seem too worried about it. I think what they presecribed was the Mi-creme, but will have to double check. I'm quite relieved really, but will be happier again once the rash is gone !
