So ... Boy was having his before bed boobie .. and he's been doin the chomp down pull back and grin thing lately ... but this time it hurt more than usual. He's been dribbling soooo much and a wee bit cranky yesterday but I thought it was because he had his immunes ...

I put my finger in his mouth and WOW ... he's cut a bottom tooth!! Im blown away .. I thought this didnt happen till around 6 months ish ...

do they come up and go down? this tooth has cut through the gum ...

Im in a semi state of shock ... our baby is growing up too fast

They can go back down but more likely it's there to stay. I also cut 2 teeth before 4 months. Fortunately my girls have followed in their dad's footsteps and waited until 8 months

My boy has only just cut his first tooth. He's a late teether thats for sure. Just waiting for the tooth to appear now. I think there will certainly be a few more to follow as he's been a rather grizzly man the last few days.

my daughter cut two within days of each other at 4 months. by the time she was one she had 12 teeth, she had this huge mouth grin (still does) and everyone could see them. and she wasn't early losing them either, quite the opposite really.

Go Thomas! I was lucky with Maya, she teethed early-ish and had all her teeth 2 year molars included by 18 mths bt she never had any probs teething, and she never bit on the boob.

Not a sign of a tooth for either gremlin yet....

The first two usually come together, no telling whether the top ones will be ages off or soonish but they will probably cut in pairs as well.

If he's nipping you it would pay to take him right off, wait a few seconds (some people wait a minute with the baby on the floor - I think it depends on the age of the baby) and then relatch. That way he learns that nipping doesn't get him fed! Briona nipped me a couple of times but I did that (kind of a reflex action really) and that was that... although she was older.

My son was the other end of the spectrum! he didnt even get a sign of a first tooth until he was almost 14 months old!!!! and it really affected his eating habbits not having teeth to eat normal food!!
A lady who was in my coffee group had a boy a few days older than Bay and her son got 4 teeth at once! when he was 2 months old!!! its was the freakiest sight ever!!!! but so cute!! she also had the biting problem too.
