OMG he bit the baby and as for sucking the baby lips or whatever he was trying to do that the mother does...NEVER HEARD OF IT.

Nah - I can't imagine why sucking a baby's lip would help anything - that's just weird.  I've heard of sucking on a newborn's nose to clear it if it's seriously blocked (eeew eeew EEEW!) but never a lip!  I agree with Lizzle

Might it not be that they mom kissed the baby's lip and he saw it as sucking? Sorry just going out on a limb here.
