Okay so we know that Rhiannon isnt well...so what kinda foods can i offer her that she might hopefully keep down.

I already know that yoghurt and ice cream arent a good choice..so what else can i give her.

I am going to get her some lemonade iceblocks but other than that i am at a loss

if shes got tonsilitis there prob isnt much she will want anyway. gabriel didnt eat for almost 2 days when he had it, except for a bit of brekkie or when the pamol first kicked in.

I wouldn't be surprised if she goes off eating altogether for a couple of days. Someone else suggested jelly, probably the rest would just be to go backwards on the solids a little bit, really smooth purees etc.

dont know what she has but if she has tonsilitis than why not ice cream if I may ask? Reason why I am asking is because that is what I was given.

Jelly is another good option. Some fruit smoothies might help as well. Just nothing acidic.

I';m a big fan of jelly! It feels really nice on a soer throat. anything cool really, I would avoid juice as the citric acid is quite sore. I had lots of creamed corn which I ate cold. Nice!

Ice cream would be OK as long as she doesn't have an upset tummy. Depending on what antibiotics shes on it can sometimes even be helpful - if the antibiotics need to be taken with food a bit of milk, yoghurt or icecream lines the stomach nicely to stop the antibiotics giving her a tummy ache.

Hmmm, could be? Maybe they upset her tummy. I have found that Sienna keeps her feeds down if I give her her meds before her bottle, if I try to give them after I get a powerchuck. Hang on, thats the other way around

Don't mind me, rambling out loud...

I've always been advised to stay away from anything diary when kids are sick and on antibiotics. When my daughter had pneumonia I gave her diluted coke and sprite (on recommendation from my doctor) and that seemed to be ok for her. Kept her hydrated and the fizzy seemed to go down well. I wouldnt' worry about solid food right now.
