I don't know if it will help him get better any faster, but if he is all snotty and congested, try rubbing some of the Vicks Baby Balsam on his chest before he goes to sleep at night and it will help him rest a bit easier. You might also want to use saline drops if his nose is really blocked, but a nice steamy bath or shower would have the same effect as well.
If you think you are already getting it there is not much you can do except rest as much as possible, keep your fluids up, and take the usual cold & flu remedies.
I do hope that it all clears up in time for your wedding though !!

Hi
I have used Viralex (sp) in the past - its a natural echinecea product and works really quickly on treating and preventing any nasties - might be worth a try to get things cleared up for you before your big day!
Good Luck!

Take lots of vitamin C - one of the 1000mg tablets helps. Make lemon and honey drinks with ginger, eat garlic with your meals.
Hope you both get better soon!

You get some Vit C and ZInc into you. Zinc does wonders when you get sick if taken with VIT C it is a killer combo.
And maybe up on some probiotics as well.

Check at a healthfood store - ask if any of the staff members specialise in pregnancy and breastfeeding help, as they would have a better idea what you can and can't take.
I know most of the over-the-counter pharmacy medications are not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. I don't know how accurate this is, but it seems to me that if you can't give a version of it to your child then its not safe to take yourself while breastfeeding (eg: Josiah and I both had colds when he was 7 months old. The doctor said I could give him childrens cough mixture, and that I could take an adults one as well while breastfeeding him)

I was also going to suggest baby Vicks... and lemon and honey drinks, Vitamin C for you. Keep up your sleep too, maybe a bit extra will help keep your immune system up. I hope it goes well for you though!

I know that vitamin C, zinc, and probiotics (natural yoghurt) are all OK during breastfeeding - but if you want to be 110% sure, check with your local health store or even your GP.
